getting to campfire singalong

We're planning on attending the camp fire/singalong on the evening of our check-in day. We'll be driving and staying at POR. My 1st question is what is the easiest way to get from POR to the singalong at FW?? We could drive or another idea would be to take bus to MK, then boat to FW. We don't know where the boat dock at FW is in relation to the campfire location. THANKS FOR ANY ADVICE!! :cool1:

The boat dock is about 1/2 mile north of the campfire. I am thinking that taking the bus to MK and then the launch may be a bit time consuming for you. It would probably be quicker and easier to drive to FW, which would put you in the Outpost area. Go to the bus stop and take an Orange bus to the Meadows trading post, then just walk over to the campfire - a short stroll.

Our favourite way of getting htere is to take the bus to Epcot then hop on the monorail to TTC then get on teh resort line and catch the boat from MK. Yes it takes awhile but there is nothing so soothing for your first day at WDW than riding the monorail and the boat over to the campfire. In May when we did this the boat driver stopped in the middle of the lake on our way back to MK so we could watch the Wishes fireworks from teh water what a great thing that was.
