???? <--- Your name could go here!! Just post you are coming!!!

Have a good one all! Hope to see more peeps able to come! Toystoryduo threw out the cool idea of a small gift exchange amongst us WISHers at the meet... any thoughts? I was thinking something small like $5 and we could do a "Secret Santa" type name exchange. If not, no biggie, just an idea!! hehe!

Abso-posi-lutely!! I must attend!! Things are looking more favorable for the trip, but worst case I'll fly down by myself (unless of course I continue the string of being the last standby not to get on the plane, grrr). Earl of Sandwich, hmm, low carb options? :teeth: No worries!

Major bummer, but that won't work for us--we'll be in the MK that day and have an ADR right around that time.

I hope you all have a wonderful time!

Hi all
Wish I could make it but my flight doesn't land until later in the day on the 7th. DisDon - as far as a low carb option they have great salads. You pick your own bowl of lettuce, (either Iceberg or mixed greens), you can then add a variety of meats cheeses and vegetables to the salad. The menu can be found here. http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_eofs.htm

Ohh! That one does look good Don! Of course they all look good for me but I suppose it would not be good to order "One of each please" at a WISH meet! hehe :)
Glad you're planning to be there!!!!

Mike :goodvibes

p.s Sorry you can't be there Jen!!! I know you said you'd wear a button for me, how about we wear one for you!!! You gonna be around on the 5th? I am seeing if Pearlieq wants to meet up in Epcot on the 5th...

Hey Dec. 7th WISHers! :cool1:

I saw on another thread that there was some talk of changing day/time for the meet so that other WISHers could attend. Any thoughts on this?

Mykelogan
11-14-2005, 10:26 PM
My vote is to keep it as is for now... I know that may exclude a few ppl, but changing it could exclude people then too. Not sure! I will adapt my best to the group's wishes. :)

Doesn't matter to me when the meet is - well, just don't make it any earlier! I don't do mornings well, and we have to plan about an hour to drive down.

Is the "uniform" of the day our lime green DIS shirts? Hope it stays tee shirt weather like it is now! :sunny:

Can't wait to meet you guys!

We have to go north for DH's DD's wedding so I will not be around here for a while, but I will check in again as soon as we get home.

I can move a few hours either way but noon still sounds good. My only ADR (hate restrictions) for the week is that nite CG at 21:00 so no problems shifting a little.
See everyone soon.

Maybe tomorrow I will finally be on the DIS countdown list first page. Then I know I am short.

Hello WISHers! :wave2:

Happy Thanksgiving! In just a few days, we'll be basking in the warmth of the Florida sun :sunny: and enjoying lunch at Earl's. I don't know about you, but I am getting soooo excited! :jumping1:

I thought we might want to do a quick intro here so we can get to know each other before the meet! Here's my bio:

My name is Tracy and I am 30 years old. I am married and a stay at home, homeschooling mom to my two girls. I have been here on the WISH boards for almost 2 years now and have been trying very hard to get down to my pre-pregnancy weight of around 155-160. I love working out, but I am still struggling with food. :( We live in frosty, snowy Northeast Ohio and I can't wait to go to WDW!

Okay.... who's next? :goodvibes

I'll go! I am Mike, 32, single but have a very demanding cat, LOL, I work at a college supervising a Residence Hall and our occupancy issues. I have a shaved head and will be wearing a bright lime green DIS shirt that day so I will be hard to miss! LOL :)

Next... ? :)

Hi, I'm Don, and I AM a Disneyholic. Its been nearly 6 years since my last drink, er, trip to Disneyland. I am making my whole family go with me to WDW, its been a dream of mine since I heard there was a WDW, probably 20 or 30 years ago. I live in Riverton, Utah, halfway between SLC and Provo (halfway between the Univ. of Utah and BYU, being pulled mightily by both). I am 39 (wow, i'm getting old) married to Elaine, 35, with 5, count 'em, 5 monsters in tow. Andrew, 12, is huge for his age, plays center in both football and basketball, and is scared of rollercoasters, last one at Adventuredome at Circus Circus gave him a headache because he was so tense. Crystal is 10, tall, dark, cute, quiet but fearless, my best bet for riding the scary rides with me. Rachel, 8, is blonde, as tall as Crystal, and the social butterfly of the family. Where ever we go, as soon as she sees any kids that she doesn't know, she walks right up and says "Hi, my name is Rachel, what's yours?", and before we leave she knows the names and vitals of at least 3 new friends. Matthew, 5, is the freak, lefty, hyper, so shiny blonde you could even say it glows, obsessed with playing Warcraft 3, not an ounce of fat on him. Last is Amber, 16 mo., another blondie, walks very fast everywhere emitting strings of gibberish, likes to snuggle, recently discovered how much fun it is to push all the buttons on the computer.

Also, I may bring along Elaine's sister and her family who are coming to WDW with us. They have 4 kids, live in Thornton, CO, and are just as goofy as us. Should be good times.

Hi! I'm Laura. I'm 26 and I live in the suburbs of Chicago. I'm married and we are childfree. I work from home for a company that provides sales statistics to major grocery manufacturers. It's fascinating to talk about at cocktail parties. DH is in IT for our local government. He is originally from Sandusky, OH, but moved here for college and wound up marrying a local girl :teeth: .

DH will be coming to the meet with me, and I'll make sure he wears his bright green polo.

Can't wait to see everyone!

No sneaking up now. Hi kids im Russ, Single Oh Cr*p thanks just remembered my age on paper 50 next February but ask anyone that knows me and they usually just grin and slowly shake their head. Manufacturing Supervisor for a small company in Cincinnati. Really it is 5 separate companies and I bounce around. The first 16 years with the company had a Field Engineering position and traveled 45-50 weeks a year so fancy hotels to me are just impediments to me getting to my room quickly.
Collect Aloha shirts but most are small tents now woohoo! Get to WDW 2 times a year early December and early May because I hate really hot humid weather. Normally in the past could be found either at Dawa or Tune-In every afternoon but this year I have a bunch more energy so who knows. I have stayed at all the moderates and ASMu and POP. Like POP best that is my new home at WDW.
I am not really a Disney only freak IOA and USF split my vacation time pretty closely down the middle. This year If my math/guessing is correct I should fit ALL the attractions at UF that I have never fit before because I hit my trip goal this morning I am officially 11/17 FATSO....uuuhhh until tomorrow Thanksgiving is a free day on my diet.
.

See you all soon

DD will be with me, but DH will probably be napping after MVMCP the night before. We don't have anything lime green, but I'll be on the lookout for some.

Can't wait to meet you all.

Hi, I'm Nancy, 54, married to Barry, 60, We moved to FL about 18 months ago after Barry was able to retire early thanks to an incentive program from the state of CT. We chose our location here in FL by drawing a circle on the map around WDW and vowing not to move outside that area, as we did not want to be too far from the Mouse! Needless to say, we are at WDW as often as possible! We are looking forward to meeting all of you. Oh, and like Mike, we will wear our lime green DIS shirts! :teeth: Hope it is a little warmer than today, though, or there may be jackets over them! Amazing how quickly we have become accustomed to the warm FL sun as opposed to the CT cold where we spent most of our lives! :earseek:

Hehe, sorry I was late, had to use that 12:00 Fastpass for Test Track. Earl's was yummy! Good advice from Nancy and Barry, went back to Epcot and saw the France movie, the music and movie were great! We're sitting in the lobby of a Quality Suites on 192, trying to figure out how to get home. The snowstorm in NYC caused a bunch of flights to cancel, so all the flights tomorrow are filling up. Our week at Liki Tiki was nice, but we're back at the travelodge again for a night. Check back with you all later, I think I've walked/jogged about 100 miles this week, my right leg is killing me!
