I just saw a Southern California pass at Costco for $165 for adults and $113 for (m)

I don't know. But I am assuming it does because would they be selling different passes with the same Name. I know it is about $20 cheaper per adult than online and $15 cheaper per child.

Just wondering if that is too many places to visit in one week? We'll be staying in Newport Beach so, I know it about 85 miles to San Diego. I know, my kids aren't old enough for Knotts. Maybe we should just stick to LA area activites...

and it was WAY cheaper than anywhere else....especially if you are buying a few of them (it adds up fast!). They UPS'd them and I had them the day after I ordered them. I was told that the 3 day hopper ticket to Disneyland included one early entry. We are doing Disneyland on Mon & Tues and then Sea World one day and then the Zoo the next and then back to Disneyland on Friday. I guess we won't have time to use the Knottsberry Farm entrance. Can you sell them or let someone else use them?

I got my CityPasses from Costco.com and it was a great savings for the 5 of us. The first place you use them will stamp the date, then they will expire 13 days after that. You will need to present the booklets at the Disneyland ticket booth to exchange for regular 3-day parkhopper bonus tickets which include early entry; you can present the booklets at the entrance gate at all other locations. When you are finished with the booklets you can give them to someone else to use the Knotts admission if you want to, but they need to use them before the expiration date of the booklet.

We did everything plus Universal in one week, except my husband drove our older kids to Magic Mountain the day DS and I went Knotts and the Angels game. Knotts has an area for kids called Camp Snoopy and some people really like it; there wasn't much there that interested us.

Cisco: does it say anything (like Early Entry Included) on the back of the ticket? I believe it would say something like that if you do in fact have the early entry.

I would definitely make time for the zoo first, and then seaworld if you aren't too tired with all the driving. Ideally you could stay in SD for seaworld & the zoo then move up to Newport Beach for Disney. Don't know if your plans are set in stone though...

We used the City Pass in July and one Early Entry is included as is the $10 ESPN Zone Game Credits. If you don't have a Costco card, you can also purchase the City Pass at AAA for $175.

Check your local Costco to see if they have them first (sometimes they are in a small kiosk), you will save yourself the shipping charges if you don't have to order them online.:goodvibes

The cheapest I found the 3 day hopper is $133.75 at amusementpark.com with a $4.00 mailing fee. Others have it for $139 including expedia.com

It is supposed to be for the California Teachers Association but when I called they didn't even ask me if I was a member. 2-day UPS delivery was free for orders over $300. :teeth:

Does anyone know if my friend purchases the Costco tickets online (thereby saving me $22), if the tickets are in a specific name? In other words, will I be able to use the tickets, or will they have her name on them w/picture ID required at DL or something like that? I don't find a local travel kiosk available.

We purchased ours through Costco and they were not in any specific name. The City Passes are not your actual tickets. You go to guest services at the park and they rip out the "ticket" in the city pass and exchange it for a 3-day "park hopper city pass," which includes the $10 ESPN zone credit and one early admission. The hoppers they give you look just like everyone elses', and in fact, they print the full advance purchase disney value on the tickets ($139 for adults and $109 for children) on the ticket, so if you want to use them to upgrade to annual passes or other more expensive passes, that's the value you get. (Basically, if you pay $165 for a city pass, you get a $139 disney park hopper and the other three admission tickets -- the zoo, knotts, and seaworld -- all for $26.)

One important note -- you get the full 13 days from the day you trade in your city pass to use your hoppers. I think there was some confusion about that in another thread. In other words, even though you only get two weeks to use your city pass tickets, all you need to do is trade in your city pass ticket for a hopper by the end of the two weeks, and then you get your full 13 day hopper. (In other words, if you use your city pass on October 1 at Sea World, you have to use your city pass at disneyland by October 14, but as long as you do so, you get your full 13 days from the date you turn it in.)

As for the question about whether you can use early entry on the first day, I would think so. You just need to get to guest services extra early to do the transaction. I'm not sure what time the windows open on early entry days. We were there a couple of days ago, and it was an early entry day -- park opened at 10:00 or 9:00 for early entry. We get to guest services at around 9:20 and the transaction took about 3 minutes.

I know this has been mentioned before, but just wanted to remind everybody that you don't need to buy a membership to shop at Costco. You can ask for a 1-day shopping pass and they will just add a 5% surchage to whatever you buy. I'm not sure if this works online as well, but you could probably call or email them and ask.

I just got off the phone with Costco. They said they do not have a name or anything else on the ticket so they can be used by anyone.

Once you brought this up I started to wonder because my sister in law is buying 10 of these for our family vacation.

For anyone reading this, you can also get them at Costco.com I found a direct link through mousesavers.

They add on a 5% surcharge for non-members and everyone pays shipping. We have a neighbor with a costco membership and they ordered it for us and we just wrote them a check. Still it is cheaper even with shipping than another other place on line. They could not buy them locally here in AZ at Costco and could only do mailorder.
