Callum 15 would prefer to be playing in his band(but loves cat in the hat) :confused3

Sunday 14th August

A lie in today as we didn’t get back to the hotel until 11.15 last night and we had a shopping day planned for today.

We headed up I4 looking for Michael’s craft store but had difficulty finding it.

We found a Walmart instead and ended up buying, yes you guessed it more scrapbooking stuff.

We then went to Festival Bay but found Michael’s on the way. While Theresa & Maddie looked around Callum and I went next door and looked around a really great book shop and I had a VERY large Mocha coffee while we waited.

They only spent about $50 but the till receipt was as long as your arm!

After Michael’s we did get to go to Festival Bay and I looked in my 2 fav. Shops
Outdoor World, Bass Pro shop and Sheplers Western Wear.

I managed to resist buying anything in Sheplers, mainly because I was feeling guilty at spending $218 in Bass Pro.

I checked when I got home and the fishing gear I bought would have been £150 more in England !

We had lunch at Fuddruckers
Callum had steak and the rest of us had burgers which we gave 6/10 but Callum only gave his Steak a 4/10 the bill came to $41

After Festival Bay we went to Downtown Disney and bought (have you spotted a pattern yet) more scrapbooking stuff including an album to put the photos in from this trip.
We also bought a Christmas tree decoration ( another of our family traditions as we have 1 from every trip).
Maddie bought a Cinderella coach silver charm for her bracelet that came to $26.

We ate at The Rainforest Café ( another tradition).
When we went 2 years ago we didn’t think it was as good as the times we had been before but this trip it was excellent
I had Red Snapper, Callum had his usual steak, Theresa had Pot roast and Maddie had a pizza which she could only manage half of.

We were too stuffed for puddings and the bill came to $100 + Tip. We gave it 8 ½/10.
At the “Everything $10 or less store” we bought a surprise bag for $6.99 and it was really good. It had a Mickey cup, a car window sticker, a postcard, a set of Disney playing cards and firework glasses.
We had a look around Oncde upon a toy and all did our own Mr. Potato heads.

On our way back to the hotel we saw the Epcot fireworks in the distance.

Cool shopping day - and Rainforest Cafe (also on my list!)

We love DTD - could easily spend a fortune there as well.

Tony, try just putting one letter in your title, post it, then edit it to the title you want. I have to do this when posting my trip reports.

They only spent about $50 but the till receipt was as long as your arm!

This was a pattern in Florida for us - why can't we do that here? In Bass I bought 5 blouses for work and a polo shirt plus moccasin slippers for DH and it came to less than $80 - couldn't get 2 blouses of that quality here! :bitelip:
