When we were down in July I was talking to another family and they told me that the Nickelodeon characters are not going to be in the parks for meet and greets much longer. She said that since the Nick studio's closed that nickelodeon may be doing their own park and taking all the characters with them. Has anyone else heard this. That would mean they would have to change the Jimmy Neutron ride as well. We loved universal but meeting spongebob and Dora was a big part of us going there with younger kids. :confused3

Oh, no! Does that mean that Jimmy Neutron will be gone too? I love Jimmy!

You were given wrong information. The closing of Nick studios has absolutely nothing to do with the contract for characters and Jimmy Neutron ride. It is a seperate contract.

The Nick studios building just wasn't being used for shows much anymore and it's closing was just a business decision. It will not effect the characters in the park.

Nickelodeon reached the end of their contract for the studios in the park and chose not to renew. Nick isn't going to build any park, but characters and versions of the Nick Live show were ported over to the Nick Suites. slime fountain, RIP.... Jimmy's not going anywhere for quite awhile.

I agree with everything you said except for the characters. The Nick characters are alive and well at Universal, still posing for pictures and still signing autographs.

yeah Bev, I may have misworded it. I know they're still there, we get our pic with Spongebob at least once a month. but I believe they've got identicals of some of the characters at the Nick Suites.

Yes, I have heard that they do have some of the same characters at the Nick Hotel. Just didn't want anyone to think that Universal had shipped off all their Nick characters.
