We're trying to book a Disney resort but canelations for any DVC resort are like pulling teeth!! The Westgate Vacation Villas, Wyndham Palms Resort and the Vistana have all been recommended. Any thoughts on which is the best?
Which is the closest? Neel all your input ASAP!!!!!
Thanks!

Monica-I like the Marriott Vacation Clubs and I've stayed at both Cypress Harbour and The Grande Vista..the latter is newer and has a better pool, but all you mentioned are good choices..sometimes it comes down to location,$$$,and what amenities they have, especially if you have kids....good luck!

We just stayed at Westgate Vacation Villas. It was very close, especially going to Animal Kingdom. We were not overly impressed with the service. We were scheduled for a midweek cleaning that never happened. We called our "representative" (he gave us his cell phone number and yes, we were charged $.75 for the call) and he told us he would have housekeeping there the next day. They never showed. The unit (JJJ2) was clean, but getting very worn. If you do go with them, request an end unit. My dad came up for one day and got a corner (2 BR, just like ours) and it was significantly wider and more spacious. We have also stayed at Sabal Palms at the Marriott World center. Also very close, especially to Downtown Disney. It was two years ago, but I remember that the villa was very spacious although it only had two twins in the second BR. It was also VERY dirty. The floors made our feet filthy. We requested a cleaning there, but they still didn't mop the floor. With Sabal Palms we did have access to the pool at the World Center with the waterslide. That was pretty cool. Good luck!

Of the three you mentioned, I would go with Vistana or Wyndham Palms. Vistana is a bit closer (depending on exactly where on WDW you're going). Vistana is large and has some older sections which some DISers have complained about. Wyndham Palms is all pretty new.
We stayed in both resorts last year. My kids preferred Vistana because there are more activities. I sort of leaned toward Wyndham Palms since they had a free continental breakfast every morning. (DS6 LOVED the Trix yogurt). They also had free mini-golf where Vistana charges a small fee.
