GC or DLH suite?

Hello all-
I have been put in charge of booking a family vacation for this upcoming June 26-29 2006 to DisneyLand.
There are 3 adults and 1 child.
My father is paying for the hotel portion of the trip and says he definatly wants a suite-
My question to you is- how much nicer is GC then DLH? Is it worth the extra $$$ ? My sister who is a southern california resident will be on the trip as well so I am hoping she can get us some kind of discount on the hotel- but I am struggling w/ choosing a hotel because the last and only time I was at Disney I was 10 years old, so I dont remember much.
Any advice and opinions would be appreciated!!

Just this last July I had the wonderful opportunity to stay at DLH. I loved it! I paid a pretty penny for my room, but I must say it was worth it. And that was the first time ever I've stayed at any hotel in the resorts.

Good luck on choosing. I picked the older hotel over the newer ones. ::MinnieMo
