Do December AP discounts usually include 12/25?

Now, before you chide me, yes, I know discounts are never guaranteed and one can't count on AP discounts. I'm just trying to make some reasonable predictions... we're going in February 2006 and contemplating a trip in December 2006 and trying to decide whether to get an AP.

In everyone's memory, have there usually been AP discounts all the way up to the 25th of December? I certainly remember discounts up to 12/25 some years, and see that they are doing it this year (with BRP) but am wondering if anyone remembers any consistency to this pattern.

Well, since Best Rate seems to be the only AP discount that will be available unless something changes, they were available through Christmas this year, but limited. They were supposed to be blacked out, but rates were appearing so they were booked at a discount. Whether that will happen again next year is anyones guess. Usually, the blackout starts a few days before 12/25 and lasts through 1/1.
