VMK Changes/Bugs Today

Seems like VMK is acting strangely. Has anyone else noticed anything?

I have seen or heard about the following:

-people unable to type due to display size
-people with tiny display size
-my one way teleporters were not working
-random bans for no reason
-princess crowns are now blue
-sorcerer's hat no longer has "fur"

Anything else different today?

I noticed yesterday on Pirates that one of the "loads" of cannons I needed to sail over to get more ammo, was way up on land. This happened all day. I still won, but it was kinda funny. pirate:

yes i've been having different problems unlike others mine is the opposite i have a bigger screen then i should (not the huge screen but like a bit of black on the bottom and side but mainly side)

Same thing here. This morning I had extra black space at the bottom of my screen. Though, it's not a bad thing - much better than having it be too small and be stuck scrolling. Is it possible that they'll add something to our screens? Different menu options?

I had the extra large font last night. You can't see what you are typing and it won't let you delete. Some letters even doubled them selves. It was really annoying.

So sorry to hear about the bans. I hope they are not arbitrarily reading back through time to inflict penalties.

I too saw the extra black area. And I did find two "nice" differences today, for me.

The friends list displayed with the "enter same room" and "send message" boxes being further apart, which i actually thought was a great idea! My mouse has slipped more than once to take me to a room, when I only wanted to send mail!

The other is that for quite some time now, when I log out of the game, I am not returned to the sign in screen. Which is a pain when you are trying to get the mules through quickly. But today I got the sign in screen! Woot!

I have a furniture bug today.

I took some things out of a room to put in storage and a few of them ended back in my inventory list after I had left the room.

Some items in a room I was working on today, kept ending up in different places each time I re-entered the room. One rope kept putting itself back into inventory each time I left. (Guess it likes me!) :rotfl:

In my dis Camp room, I have had a shower placed over a cactus chair for quite some time, but I found the shower in my inventory and it will not allow me to place it over a chair any more. Guess no more sitting while we shower! :rotfl2:

What strange happenings! :confused: The only thing I noticed in the short time I was on, was the smaller VMK screen.

All i noticed was i couldnt get on in Firefox exept for a couple mintes, then lost connection or crashed. :dancer: <<not sure what thats for be he looks funny :confused3

For anyone that can not get to the bottom of their screen. I have this temporary fix to get yoy around the game at least.

I have no scroll bar either. Pressing F11 does not fix the problem. I had to keep logging in , exit log in etc. etc etc :confused3

I changed my screen resolution to 1024 X 768. This allowed me to get around the game easier, as I can see the bottom of the game and use the globe etc. The big problem with this is the font is very tiny. I posted this on VMK Forums and it works for a few others.

I have experienced most of those bugs before, so they are not new. I must have a relative of your rope. because a rope I have keeps ending up back in my inventory.

I also once had a store room set up with multiple paired teleporters. I once walked into the room and there was only one of each pair of teleporters and some of those had been moved / rotated. The other teleporter from each pair had gone back into my inventory.

I have a little bit diifferent problem, because of my computer set up. I use a 19" CRT (18" viewable) with a resolution of 1152x864 under Windows XP SP2 Home and Internet Explorer 6 SP2. Before today I would just make the game window full screen by using F11. This would put the Internet Explorer toolbars back at the top of the normally bare window and center the VMK image with black on all sides. Today if I use F11 the VMK image is stuck at the top left of the window and the toolbars cover the top part of it. There is black space to the right and below the image. What I have to do if I want to play full screen is to drag the window borders to the edge of the screen. The VMK image is still stuck on the top left, but there are no toolbars to hide part of it.

I have a "dance floor" set up in my Tiki Room, with the Tiki Carpets on top.
The bug for me was that only 1/4 of each square was showing up visible, the rest of it was just the brown crate showing. Weird!!

I tried to complain about it, but the game won't let me say the words "English" or "Spanish". When I finally got someone to listen to me, they told the game doesn't support any other language. :confused3 :badpc:

It sounds like a problem during the game download that caused your browser to display the other language. It probably would be corrected by a refresh. For this kind of problem you should use the Contact form rather than try to get in-game help.

I tried to talk to a community leader in the game –and- I tried to send a help message, but it wouldn't let me type the correct words. I guess “English” and “Spanish” are dirty words to Disney. So I tried to work around the word problem and just ended up sounding like an idiot. (ie: "The buttons are not in this language, the one I'm writing it."}

I sounded like a first class moron.

As I tried to explain in my reply (obviously did not do it too well) trying to get help in game would more than likely be useless. Community Leaders definitely could not help and I doubt if VMK_'s could help while in game. You have to go to the VMK home page and choose "Contact Us" on the bottom of that page.

I have a problem with the screen ebing too large. I did as someone suggested and changed my screen resolution to a different size and that seemed to help. Thank you for the suggestion! :banana:

What screen resolution are you using? Mine takes up about 1/2 the screen and there is no scroll bar lol and i am only in 1024x768??? :confused3
