Wow! I've been on the DisBoards for a while and never really noticed this forum before :confused3

I had a marathon weekend question and someone else suggested I come here, so here I am. :wave:

I'm registered for the Goofy :crazy: Training has been tough lately, since it's my busy season at work, but I'm starting to get into a regular training routine again. I have done a couple of ten-miler races in the past, but it's been 3 years since the last one. But I'm determined, because I want that Goofy medal.

So I'll be visiting this forum more often now that I've found it. :)

One question I have now concerns the resort stay. I'm thinking about staying at BWV (on DVC points), but was wondering how I would get to the starting area. Since the start is at EPCOT, can I walk from BWV or would I have to take the bus? I currently have ressies at the Poly (to use the monorail), but since I just bought DVC, figured I could save some money and stay at BWV. I just don't want to be stressed out in the morning trying to get to start area.

Welcome to our training group! This is a great group of people & it helps me to stay on track with my training. This is my first year & I'm going to be walk/running the 1/2 on Saturday. I have never done any kind of a race so this is all new & exciting to me. There are all kinds in our group-walkers, runners, new athletes, experienced athletes (and even those crazys doing the Goofy :) )

I'm not sure about being able to walk from BWV. The buses start pretty early getting everyone to the starting line. I'm staying at WL and from what I've read will be getting up at 3:00 to get dressed & catch the early bus. Maybe someone else can help you with that.
