What is the name of the book. I called the AAA office and they acted as though they had never heard of it.

I believe what you are looking for is called "Birnbaum's Walt Disney World for Kids by Kids". I hope this helps. This the one I got for my kids and they loved looking through it. They still do. I got it off of Amazon.com, But you could probably get it at any book store. :)

We had the WDW for kids by kids and my kids as well as my neices LOVED it.
Here is a link to the new edition from Amazon. IMHO its worth full price but if you can get a discount all the better!!

THe Birnbaums' book is awesome. My 8 year old concidered it "her" book, the 10 year old carries the Unofficial Guide around and the 8 year old packs the Birnbaums each trip now.

I have to add that I also think the Birbaums Kids book is great. My DN10 used it & helped planning the trip.

We get the book at Borders. My daughter insists on getting the new one each year.

Will my children be able to use it if I give it to them on the plane? Is that too late?

Giving it to her on the plane will definetely give her something to do & keep her busy on the plane but she may not get to finish it & really absorb it all...I guess it depends on how old she is. My DD10 read all of it & used it to plan what attractions she really wanted to see. This took her awhile.

The 2005 edition is 160 pages. There is a place for autographs in the back but we don't use that.

In the front (pp14-15), there is a countdown starting from 10 days, on what the child should do each day until the trip.
