Yikes! I read it 3 times and I'm STILL confused...
I guess I got lost in the line "race has NOTHING to do with it".
Methinks he protests too much.

He does ramble a bit, but he makes some excellent points along the way.

I read it. But I think he sees wrongdoers of another tribe as following tribal rules while he see wrongdoers of his tribe as aberrations. How many white male middle class men are child molesters, wife beaters, crooked (both small and large scale), serial murderes etc. Only a small fraction but they still do a lot of damage.

I think his point would be that those people are not members of his tribe. By his definitions, his tribe is not made of up of white male middle class men. His point is that tribes are defined by behaviors and values, not race, class or socio-economic status.

WDWHound that is exactly the point, the way you CHOOSE to behave determines who you are. Not what race, sex, religion, socioeconomic status you were born into. That is just a sad lie feed to people by the Clinton's and the Sharpton's of the world, it makes it easier to control you, just don't look behind the curtain, pay no attention to the man behind the curtain! Wished I lived in Fl and Robinrs, if you go back to this site and click on Responsibility I think you will understand better were he is coming from.

Somehow I knew Clinton was at fault. Sigh...
Actually, I kind of see where he's coming from but he's being a bit too idealistic IMO. Race DOES matter to way too many people and his personal definition of "tribes" doesn't change that.

Absolutely. If Katrina has taught us anything it's that Clinton and Sharpton can't be trusted.
I don't think I'm alone in admitting that my first reaction to seeing the Superdome on CNN was to roundly curse Clinton and Sharpton.

The idea that anyone, Clinton Sharpton Bush ANYONE can sway me is such an insult I can't put it into words. I get so tired of the rhetoric involved in what drives people. Being almost 50 years old and living through 5 decades of what I've seen in this country has driven me to be who I am and what I think. Frankly, I've listened to so much of the ideals of men or people who think they know me or what my lifestyle is without walking a mile in my shoes that I could just vomit. Eject Eject Eject, I couldn't agree more.....
