Our friends ds is on the search and rescue helicopter missions

My dh just talked to him. He said his ds has done about 100 rescues and he can't believe that they told him tomm. or very soon they are shipping him off to Afghanistan because his real job is looking for downed helicopter pilots. I am not saying he shouldnt go, but it sure looks like he is doing an awful lot of good in NO and now they are moving him out. He can't even understand it, but orders are orders.

Seems like they would have him complete this mission 1st. :confused3

I question why our servicemembers and their equipment and supplies are needed so much more in a country far away more than in our own.
