Are there any sites where I can find out the flight plans?

I would kinda like to know what I am flying over while I am flying over it. :) Are there any sites that might show this?

that would be kind of hard since they tend to change with the weather. before each flight goes out they must get a release from OPS that gives them their flight plan and weather. say for instance its raining over the usual route of the DC area then they may go around it a bit on the west side or the east side. I know what the flt plans are for PIT to MCO....in the back of the airline magazines they give you a rough idea of what you fly over. If there is a lot of air traffic then they may divert that too.

The only other thing that you could do is Click Here (http://www.trip.com/trs/trip/flighttracker/flight_tracker_home.xsl), and track other flights to MCO from your destination. (You will be able to see the current flight route and what state the flight is currently over)

Alternatively, if you happen to own a GPS, you can follow along with that, but definately would not buy one just for that purpose. I used one on my last flight from Minneapolis to Boise and was rather fun knowing exactly where i was at, how fast i was moving, and at what altitude.

a lot of the time the pilots tell you when you are going over certain cities. but I know seasonally and due to weather it changes. the releases that we had to give to the pilots changed a lot.

I have flown the same route on Northwest and it varies due to weather and air traffic. Usually Northwest pilots will tell you the route they are taking before you take off.

If you're on a 767 or 777, the seatback in front of you will have a personal video screen. One of the choices you have is to track your flight...so you can see what you're flying over as you're flying over it.

Hmmm,

During a flight last weekend, it was annouced that GPS devices, Cell Phones or anything that sends a signal back to the plane was "NOT" allowed during the flight.

Where GPS's specifically announced? The reason I ask, GPS receiver's do not send any sort of electronic signal. They receive signals only and hence will not interfere with electronic equipment. I did ask the stewardess on our flight if they had any problems with GPS use and the did not.

It was announced a few minutes after takeoff along with it's was now OK to use portable electronic equipment...This is the first time I heard them also include GPS in the announcement.

On same flight I was ask to remove headphones and turn off my MP3 player as I boarded the plane.

I don't remember them saying anything about GPS on the return flight.
