I think he's at the New Orleans Airport and helping out from what I see on TV! Wow, no matter what you think of him to see a politician ACTUALLY HELPING and not talking or voting, is so refreshing!!! I am glad that he is using his medical skills to help out.

I"ve always had a lot of respect for him as a man who has a lot of compassion and doesn't play games.
I'm glad he's there to actually help, rather than grandstanding as so many other politicians and public figures have/will do.

It is good to see him put some action behind his words. He stays active in his medical status so he can help out.

I agree with actually seeing a politican or public figure actually helping. I saw on TV where one figure was there saying how big of an outrage the situation is and a woman yelled at him about bringing help instead of cameras. These people want action not words and they more than deserve it!

Considering how badly he confidently misdiagnosed Terry Schiavo's condition on video tape (and denied doing so later when his diagnosis was found to be in error even though it was caught on tape), I have trouble believing he's there with no political ambitions whatsoever. He does consider himself a presidential candidate for 2008, doesn't he?

Well he's THERE, he is a DOCTOR, and he ie HELPING. That's more than I can say about most of Washington...

Bill Frist is a really good guy. He also goes to Africa and other parts of the world and uses his medical knowledge to help those less fortunate. So no matter what you think of his political views, you have to respect him. Other politicians have also been directly affected by the hurricane, including Trent Lott, whose 150-year old house was destroyed by the storm.

Good for him! I don't care the reason, I just think there are people there that will be able to live because of his help, and that is all that matters.

Good for him!! Yeah, he's got political motives, but who in Washington doesn't?

Good for him! I'm very happy to hear it, and if he did it to look good politically, well, for me it's working.
Well, he is one politician I will stop and listen to when he speaks on issues. He "walks the walk"

I would like to let you know how wonderful all of our local and statewide politicians have been in Louisiana during this disaster. They have joined together and are cooperating in a way I've never seen before. This is the way it should be. They are humans first before republicans or democrats and they are behaving in a way that exemplifies this fact. They should be commended for their commitment and diligence.
Also, thanks to those others in office across the nation using their influence to help out!
