Wayside Christian Mission currently has about 30 refugees. They desperately need people to donate the following:
Pillows
Towels
Wash clothes
Underwear men women and children
Twin size sheets
Hygiene items
Food
Snack foods
Drop off a bucket of KFC, etc.
Bake a cake, cookies
Pop, sodas
Jobs that can quickly be filled
TARC tickets
Toilet paper
Laundry detergent, dryer sheets
Housing – 2-4 bedroom houses and apartments that would be given to
the victims for 2-3 months rent free
Volunteer to sort donations, cook meals, serve meals, mop and clean
the floor and help clean rooms
Financial donations
Make checks payable to Wayside Christian Mission, designate Katrina
victim programs and services
Mail the check to PO Box 7249, Louisville KY, 40257

Also, Louisville area hospitals have begun receiving patients from La., so I'm sure there will be more evacuees needing our help.
