THis link will take you to an article written by an evangelical christian group. Come on people get a grip is all I have to say to them. A good friend of mine that works for Reuters sent this to us today.

I think that's terrible to blame it on that stuff.

(But do they really have sex in the streets :earseek: )

I too think that it's terrible that "Christians" are pinning this horrific disaster on gays or anyone else. It was weather. Weather is not anyone's fault. Maybe God was sending out another message. Maybe we should look at this as a chance that God has given us to show our love for our fellow man. Maybe this is a test to see if the good that is in most of us will shine through. I would rather take the high road on this one.

As for the comment on sex in the streets, yes, there are people gay and straight that are stupid and try to engage in sex in public.....not just in New Orleans. Generally, cops don't put up with it. They discourage women flashing their breasts for beads at Mardi Gras too, but people still do it. When people drink too much, their inhibitions drop like a rock and they do stupid things.....it doesn't matter what your sexual orientation is. I doubt that there are many among us on this board that have ever been drunk that can say that they never did anything stupid or regrettable while intoxicated.

Sorry, long week, I hope I am not being too grouchy. Maggie

These so called "Christians" are hate-mongers who use the name Christian to make them appear legitimate. Sad because hate is not an attribute of Christ and certainly should not be one of Christians. God loves homesexuals just as he loves all sinners and sent his Son to prove that!

First let me say I don't in any way agree with the article. It is a ridiculous statement.
Second, please don't lump all Christians in this catagory. After 9/11 all I heard was that we can't lump all Muslim/Arab/Middle Easterners into a catagory that they are all terrorist...I'm asking for the same considerations here. These people are wacko's and do NOT represent the majority of Christians out here.
Okay, thats all I wanted to say

Christians eh? As a Christian, I can only say, God says we aren't to judge, so I won't comment on if I think this man is a Christian. I will say that I know of no Christians personally (and I know a lot of them) who would agree with him.

Please don't judge the rest of us, because of this one group.

I know that all Christians are not alike. I know that we are all imperfect Christians. But, those "Christians" in my opinion are just demons in angelic cloaks. Maggie
