Can any of you give me the phone number to which the displaced teachers should call? My aunt needs the number and in the maze of all the stuff in our papers right now I can't put my hands on it. Thanks in advance.

Oh also, if any of you know of a place for rent that can hold 5 adults and one baby can you let me know? At least a 4 bdr/ 2 or more bath home. It's 2 sets of couples, one single woman and her baby. The deal we had originally found for them in Gonzales fell through.

This is what I found.

The Louisiana Department of Education Call Center is remaining open through the weekend and on Labor Day to continue taking calls from parents, teachers and other school employees. The weekend and holiday hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The toll-free number to the helpline is 1-877-453-2721.

Thanks. They 'may' have a lead into a home in Lafayette. I think they will find out something today. But it doesn't hurt to check into other things too. :)
