A MESSAGE FROM DELSWIFE

Here's the thing,

I have been a total mess for days now and so have alot of people I know and love. One of my friends, who has also been crying for days said "I need a break from crying, can I read your story yet?"

I wasn't sure how I felt about posting it now in the middle of the nightmare so many people are in. I wasn't sure if it was approperiate to be making jokes and being silly. I asked a couple people here and they thought it would be okay.

My buddy Lou said what I couldn't say yesturday.

Looks like there is a pretty interesting trip report
unfolding in The Trophy Room. Some new poster name
after the wife of a computer company....

This comes at a moment in time when there is much sadness in
our country. Hopefully as has been the case with past trip reports,
this will help us all forget reality for a little while and help us laugh
again. And when you are done laughing you can make a difference whether it be by
donating money,
blood, clothing.....no contribution
is too small. There are more than enough links on this
board to help
you find a charity that will help if you so find it in your heart.

You can make a donation here for the Donna's (DopeyRN) and Karen's (Diznenut) in our lives:

http://www.redcross.org/

Pins for Cures is something I am very proud of and honored to be a part of. I really don't want to set that aside.

These are the BEAUTIFUL faces of Juvenile Diabetes and what two weeks looks like to them:

The 2 youngest Zurgette's

This is where you can find information about supporting Pins for Cures:

http://www.badshoe.com/lymi.htm

And this is where you can support my close personal friend and evil airhorn-giver in his walk to find a cure:

http://walk.jdrf.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=extranet.personalpage&confirmID=86114843

And finally there is my friend Tony, he loves chips. He is very important to me too. I know the MDA has done alot to help him. (Also supported by Pins for Cures)

http://www.mdausa.org/

I get alot of emails from people who want to give me things or buy a book from me. Do me a favor and support these causes.

I don't want to MAKE money from writting, I want to RAISE money from writting. You'll always find me on www.badshoe.com .

I'll keep writting. I will always try to find the humor in things and make you smile.

You'd make me smile if you could help one of these causes.

Think of it as a tip for me.

Love ya, mean it.

All 10 installments are here....

Apparently there is some kind of formula you must know to load suitcases properly and if you have a ******, it is impossible for you to ever learn the formula.

There is a danger within these trip reports. Whatever you do. DO NOT read them while participating in a conference call for work! You WILL laugh out loud. YOU WILL drop the phone. YOU WILL have to explain your odd behaviour within this professional environment.

LOL.. Wobin.. I love em! glad ya'll had a GREAT time.

Robin,

Thanks for the TERRIFIC trip reports. I spent my whole afternoon reading them and I laughed my head off. :rotfl:

Now, as far as your comments about the large thighs, and overweight butt - you never mind girl. You've got an awesome talent for taking pictures and making people laugh, whether by writing about it or by just doing it and anyone that cares about the size of your thighs can simply *@&*! your butt.

You go for it girl - great job - and thanks for making my day !!

as far as your comments about the large thighs, and overweight butt

Hey, I doubt any of us are as thin as we were at 16 - its called "maturity" (e.g. I am mature enough to decide I want to eat a whole tube of Pringles with this very tasty Chardonnay, and some nachos with cheese will be good for my calcium levels).

I would also like to suck in my thighs, but having failed to have decided there's no substitute for exercise (another excuse to eat - "I walked to the shops today so I can eat these doughnuts") or eating less  :faint:

OK, so ruling out those options I've decided to just live with it - I try to make sure I don't go over a certain limit, but too far under it and I'd need a new wardrobe. I also try to make sure nobody thinner than me is in any photos :teeth: Be comfortable with a healthy weight - not perfect - because skinny is not attractive and would you want your last words to be "hooray! I've reached my goal of 100lb by not eating Mickey bars, chips or fries for 10 years!!" ?? (Thought not!! :wave2: )

I think we need set up a fund that will enable all of your "fans" to send you and your family to WDW once a month, just so we can get more trip reports!

I had a blast reading them over the weekend, you really should write a book.... maybe your version of the Unofficial Guide..... Delswife does Disney... it would most certainly be a best seller!!!

Keep writing!

Gosh Robbin, I thought you fell off the face of the earth.

It took me almost all weekend to read the whole report.

I think I understand now what is going on when I saw that you had to put a copyright at the end of each story. It is such a sad world that people have to plagiarize.

Thanks for sharing your hot summer trip, didn't you and your family go in December -04?

Wishing upon a Star!

I just finished your latest report this afternoon ~ you have an amazing talent for writing and making the reader feel like they actually took your trip with you! I only hope our first trip in June will be half as adventurous as your's have been :goodvibes

P.S. Just have to say, "Go, Nikki!!" for letting that lady have it for yelling at Em!!

Thanks Robin....that hit the spot. You should start a fund that we can donate to to send you and your family to Disney. I would throw in a couple of bucks. All you have to do is promise to write another trip report.

You made my day....

Wobin, you are the best!!!! Your stories remind us all of why we go to Disney---to be ourselves, with our families, with our weird habits and unique ways of being together.

You have a talent that is bigger than these boards, although these boards are wonderful. I think you could write a book or a column, and people would read it.

My tribute to you--after I read your first installment, I made my on-line contribution to the Red Cross for Hurricane Katrina. I thank you for reminding us to do this.

Of course, I would also kick in a few bucks to the "Send Delwife to Disney" fund, if one were established!

Keep writing--your words are gold!!!

As one of the many people hurt by Katrina, let me say this:
Never, never think that writing, and posting, you're hilarious reports is in any way 'wrong', or seems like you're choosing to ignore everything that has happened and act like everything is hunky-dory. You're reports gave me, and my mom at times, a well needed, side-splitting, rolling on the floor (yes *gasp* FLOOR! Someone might have spit on it! :rotfl: ) laugh-fest. You have a WONDERFUL talent for writing and making people laugh, and seeing humor in things most people would only see the bad in. That's a good thing!! I spent two whole days glued to my computer (couldn't print it out *sigh*), reading it. Now, granted I might should have done at least TWO things a wee bit more educationally productive (i.e. math homework) this weekend, but hey, that's my fault. :teeth: It's wonderful all the donations you are trying to raise for the Katrina victims and the Diabetics, espcially the children, and I think I can speak for a lot of people when I say "Thank you!". Love Ya, Mean It, Keep those fantastic reports a'comin'!
