Perhaps I can use this challenge to get me motivated. I have cleaned my area, shopped for new stuff and last night I sat at my desk and did nothing at all. Looked at the same 2 photographs for an hour, then turned off the light and left.
My oldest son got jelous when I was working on the baby book for my younger son. So I am doing a book for the oldest - ok he is only 7 but better now than later.
I am going to take the challenge and maybe I will get his first year scrapped before he turns 8 in oct :rotfl:

Count me in. The kids go back to school Tues, and I am not working full-time this fall (so far, cross my fingers) just subbing 1-3 days a week. Next week I am hoping to crank out a ton of pages, because I won't have to clean my kitchen every hour or so, I won't have to referee my boys, and I won't be driving DD all around town. Ya think I'm ready for school to start?

WOW! I don't know how many people were in each monthly challenge prior to September, but we are up to eighteen this month! Everyone is more than welcome to "scrap & play!"

How wonderful that some of you have been cleaning & organizing your scrap spaces. Now you need to start using all those supplies :)!! I try to put away everything I use when I start a new set of photos. Then hopefully I will know where everything is ("Sure," she says!).

And good for those of you who have already completed pages this month!! I haven't bothered to keep track of how many pages I have done since my numbers do not count this month. I have been scrapping though!

I received an email from my lss (local scrapbook store) today that they are having a 20% off sale today, tomorrow & Sunday. I have been good about conserving gas this week, so I "deserve" to go :)!

I did 20 7x7 pages this weekend. Journaled, papered, stickered....lightly, lots of journaling. Our 25th Anniversary key west trip.

Let me know how to count these towards this months tally...

Happy Labor Day Everyone! I just updated my first post on page one. I moved the list of this month's scrapper's closer tothe top & included the totals I have read up to this point. Please let me know if I need to make any changes.

We have a few scrappers who have already completed pages in the first four days of the month. Way to go!

Cobbler, I saw a "paper tearing thing" at a lss in my hometown in July. Then yesterday I went to one of my lss (the one with the 20% off sale!) with a friend, & we saw they carry three different styles. They only had one in stock, & we didn't particulary care for it, so we'll check again :). I haven't done paper tearing yet, so I thought it might be the incentive to try it! I did buy some sb stuff at the lss & at Target (I finally found the sale items on the end caps!!) yesterday.

Goofymom/pop, as far as I am concerned a completed scrapbook page is a completed scrapbook page regardless of size. I suspect that many of us do albums in different sizes, so each page counts. It might be different if I only did 6x6 or 7x7 pages all the time & you did all 12x12 pages, but I think there is enough mix here that it does not matter. Besides, more importantly, this is a fun monthly challenge!!! So have fun!!

Ok, I actually managed to accomplish something this month. . .long weekends are great! I finally finished our March '04 book and did some in our travel book (a bit behind, yes!). I did 37 pages total--that may be all for this month, but that's something! :cool1:

I just updated the list of scrappers & the totals on page one. Some of you are rolling along nicely.

Scraphappy92, it is my understanding that the challenge is for completed pages - photos, journaling, embellishments, etc. When you return & put the photos where you want them, then (also my understanding) you can count the pages in the monthly challenge.

If I recall correctly, last month the question came up about circle journal pages in the monthly challenge. You create each page & complete it, so it counts regardless of page size.

I am sure if anyone has any corrections to my "understandings," they will let us know.

OK, I'm on the boards. Been working on a quick and dirty year in review album for th huuby since Sat. It's just 4x6, but it's wallpapered, accented and and journaled and has at 2 -4 pics per page, so I think it counts. (I know, size is not supposed to matter, but I wanted to let you know I ddi put some effort into it) ANyway, put me down for 25. Yeah fo rme! I don't think I'm going to get the one for my parents done. Me and the scanner have been at odds!

Since I have laryngitis I couldn't talk much so I scrapped a bunch! We played a bunch of games last night too and I won a prize for having the most points for pictures I had on me! A 12 hr crop!?!? Good grief, I'm lucky to get to go to a 2 hr crop!! Haven't been to one since April? or May? What little bit of time I could squeeze out scrap time this week I spent the majority of it organizing my paper. I have started about 9 pages on my Caribbean Destination album but have journaling to do so can't count them yet. I'm hoping to finish those pages up this week and Thursday I'm SUPPOSE to go to a new LSS. I'm excited about that!!

She IS a big girl! She is over 28" long and 18# 3oz. For my boys I could always buy a season ahead (you know, shop the sales at the end of the season for the next year) without a problem and they were big boys too, but I guess not as long as Molly....her 6-12 month stuff, even from stores like Gap and Gymboree, is JUST fitting her right at 6 months. :rolleyes: There is no way all of these cute fall/winter clothes I have for her will last the season. Not to mention all the warm weather duds we have for next Spring and Summer in the 12-18 month size! :rolleyes1

Sometimes it helps to have a whole book to scrap in a short period of time. That happened ot me in July. I kept after a freind to send me photos from her daughter's high school graduation, so I could scrap them before the daughter's party. Well, the day before I was to leave - voila! - she starts emailing photos. I finished something like 15 pages before I went to sleep that night :).

As to the others in the monthly challenge - keep scrapping those photos!!

well gals, i'm sure i'm pathetic compared but i did finish 10 pages this month :)

i decided to give the gift of an 'event' album to my SIL for a shin-dig she's hosting tonight. i make 16 journal boxes for the gals at the event to journal for me. so i did accomplish that. that will just help my total next month - huh? LOL

i have fininshed our family 2002 album and i'm ready to start my 1/2 marathon trip album after this weekend.

Well, I guess i'm stuck at the # I posted last time....can't remember what it was 4? 6? 12? Not sure. I've scrapped 10 or 12 more pages but haven't finished the journaling and have some last minute touches I want to add so will wait and count them for October. It is very unlikely I'll get them done tonight since I have a booth for my travel agency at our Fall Festival tomorrow. Have to load all the brochures, tables, chairs etc tonight after we come back from the Homecoming Parade. October HAS to be a better month!!

Usually the winner is suppose to host the following month and then send out a package worth around $5. It can vary. The one time I won the host contacted me and asked what books I was working on and then sent me stuff related to my books.

That is correct, Patty. That is why I was wondering if things changed over time.

I need to get back to scrapping. I think I scrapped like 20 pages last month - not much compared to August (but I had mor etime then!).
