Pricing up a 3 week trip next summer staying at Disney for a couple of nights before heading off to the cruise (savings permitted) and wondered if anyone knows if I will be able to leave a complete suitcase with them in the lobby hold until we return 7 days later?
May go for a cheaper room on the cruise and don't know how much space they have.

Any help on this appreciated and any comments on the 4 night cruise would be most welcome.

Many Thanks

Hilary

Sorry, I've no idea about this, but it's an interesting question!

Hi,
We have certainly done this in the past when we went on a cruise and also when we went to Vero. Just ask at the baggage stand and they will tag your baggage and give you a receipt which you present on your return.

Mick.

Do you think they will do this even if the cruise is the last night you are in the US?

We plan on getting the coach back from Port Canaveral to WDW, spending the day at WDW somewhere and then heading to the airport later in the day. We'll be at OKW for 12 nights before the cruise so I will have loads of dirty washing I don't really want to lug about with me. If we can leave it at OKW and get the coach to take us back there that would be ideal.

Hi,
My experience of DVC staff is if it is at all possible to help they will. If you just ask them to store the bags while you go on your cruise I don't think they will question you about it so you can just collect them on your return and get on your way.

We are planning on doing a couple of nights at VB and like you the thought of taking all the luggage down (we also have DS who has loads of medical stuff) put me off moving but MS told us it is not a problem to leave luggage etc with them whilst we were away. hope this helps

You might have to lie to the airline at check-in when they ask if your luggage has remained in your posession since you packed it.

I once flew New York to London by El-Al and when asked, said that the only time my luggage had been out of my sight was during my connecting flight from Florida with another airline.

They took me into a back room and made me pack and unpack everything in their presence!

If you're staying in anything bigger than a studio at OKW, you'll have a washer-dryer in your accommodation - it makes it very easy to deal with the laundry without even thinking about it! It's one of the features of DVC I really appreciate :) If you're in a studio then it does take a bit more effort to go to the free laundry facilities at the pool.

Of course, you still won't necessarily want to take it all with you on the cruise, but at least you won't have it all facing you when you get home ;)

With us we were going to VB in the middle of our holiday and coming back to SSR so our luggage would then have been reopened and used by us so it depends spm23 if you are going back or not or just collecting you luggage. as Andrew has a pointed out especially nowadays with security etc. it might be an issue if you were picking it up and going straight to the airport

We have done this loads of times.

Last time we stayed at SS then went over to VB and then from there back to stay at WLV. We packed 1 case to take to VB and left the rest of our luggage with the nice bell hop people at SS, told them the date of our return and where we were returning to (WLVs) and on our return our luggage was waiting for us to collect from the nice bell hop people at WLVs. Its Magic!!!
