You can stack your codes at DisneyDirect to get $20 off a $50 purchase

Just use code VISASCHOOL10 to get $10 off (must pay with disney visa)
and then use TENOFF to get another $10 off

have you actually tried this? I get that there is no promotion with this code.

The Visa code is VISASCHOOL0510 and it's not allowing you to stack them. It says only one code per transaction.

Sorry about that typed the wrong code. Yes it's letting me use the 2 codes just fine. However I use the TENOFF first then log into my account and then select the other code so that may be the trick.

Let me try that. I'd love to save $20.

I entered an order yesterday and there were no codes so I thought I'd wait a week or so hoping for a code - then I just got the email with the 3 code options (10%, $10 or free shipping) and I got all excited. $10 more is even better.

That's what worked for me the last time I stacked...putting stuff in my cart and using the first code, then logging in and using the VISA code, but this time I cannot get it to work, unfortunately.

kelleigh1

Yep...it's not working for me either. Will only allow me to apply the one code and it even says only one discount per order. Oh well!

I just got it to work by using the Visa Code first. I was able to use four different codes:
VISASCHOOL0510
TENOFF
FREESHIP
10PERCENT
I had to keep adding the same item to my cart over and over again as I would log in and out, and them remove everything that was a duplicate. It took a while, but it was worth it as what I wanted ended up being half price.

I can not seam to get it to stack ...
Picked my halloween costume (free s/h with that anyways)
I Logged in ...
Then used the visa code ... no problem
Then the 10off code ... it says you can only use one

What am I doing wrong ???

o.k. ... Just got it to work ...
I got my DH's Halloween Costume ... Free Shipping plus 10 off 50, plus 10 off 50 with Disney Visa (I was not going to try again for another 10% off and spoil a good deal.)
So I got what he wanted, the mayor costume (basically 60 bucks for basically 40 bucks delivered in time for his birthday)
Sounds GREAT to ME !!!!!!!

For some reason the Visa code isn't working for me now. It's saying no such code. Very strange.

Bronte
08-22-2005, 01:52 PM
Did you use this one VISASCHOOL0510 ...
I did the TENOFF first ... then logged in ... then added another costume ... then used VISASCHOOL0510 ... then removed the added cosutum and went to check out ... both codes were shown as active and they took off 20 bucks (shipping on costumes is automatic, there is not code for that.)
Hope that does the trick for you ...

It's pretty clear from the website which ones qualify. I think you do have to get two accessories also though. I don't seem to be able to get the coupon codes to stack, but I'm pretty happy to have gotten 20% plus free shipping, plus $10 off.

No need for the sarcasm as some people don't look at every category of costumes. You could have just said it was for the princess costumes. I don't look at those since I have boys. It took me awhile searching thru every costume on the site to find the special.

For those of you interested in PRINCESS princess: costumes, they have a special on many of them that if you order the costume and 2 accessories, you get 20% off. Pretty good deal!

The 20% off the girl's costumes will also work if you put 3 costumes in your cart with no accessories. Some of us did that last week. ;) I agree that they should make it off all the costumes though.

Who was being sarcastic? I was trying to be helpful. No need to get nasty!

Not all of the princess costumes qualify (deluxe don't), and I didn't recall off the top of my head which costumes qualified (I also looked at numerous ones for numerous kids), only that there was a green icon in the corner for the ones that did qualify.

Take a deep breath, okay.

I had that problem at first also. But, I started fresh and made sure nothing was in my cart when I was logged in. I made my selections and used the Visa code first. Then I logged out and started making more selections anonymously and used one of the other codes. Then I logged back in.

I hope it works for you!

I ordered 2 Minnie costumes with 2 headpieces (does not qualify as the princess 20% off).
Are you only trying to order the one item, the Dash costume? If, in the end, all you are ordering is the Dash costume the base cost of the item won't qualify as spending $50. Which I think you need to spend to get the 10% or the $10 off. I hope that helps. :)

OK...I got this one to join the others. HALLOWEENFUN for $10 off a $50 order. If you can get the visa one to work that is $30 off plus 10%. I am trying to figure out if it will be worth it to do without the free ship code if I can get that visa code to work. ;)

Thank you too from me. I bought my granddaughter 3 princess costumes, 3 crowns, 3 wanes and my total was about $45 and free shipping. I used CM discount, 10 percent, tenoff, bestguest free shipping. The costumes were 65% off, plus took the extra $10 as the end. wow. I've tried to stack before, but just couldn't get it to work, but it worked this time. BTW: my granddaughter is only 5 months old, so this will keep her a princess for the next 3 Halloweens, after this year.

I hope everyone's deals go through, but please keep in mind that the codes clearly state they cannot be combined, so if DD catches it, the orders may be cancelled. They've been particularly picky lately, so just don't be surprised if they don't honor the codes/cancel orders. Pixie dust on the way that they all go through!!!

Yes, it can be frustrating. I tried several times and then boom, I started from scratch and followed one posters' directions and it worked. The trick is to put a code in (and $50 worth of stuff) before you log in. Then when you log in, add more stuff and then add the VISA code or another $10 code and then remove what you do not want.

Sometimes clearing your cookies will help too.

PhoohWhoWho
08-23-2005, 08:25 AM
It took me an hour and 1/2 just to get 2 codes. loged in put $50 of stuff in the cart i used the visa one first put it in. logged off. putt $50 in the cart then the code log back in and it should be there then remove the other stuff you dont want. I am so jellouse of you ladies that got all 4 that would of been nice!

Here is how I got the codes to work for me:

entered TENOFF
clicked activate
Logged in
Logged out
Added another $50 worth of stuff
entered FREESHIP
clicked activate
Logged in
Logged out
Added more stuff
entered 10PERCENT
clicked activate
Logged in
Then I removed everything from my cart that was a duplicate or that I didn't want but made sure that my total after the 10% but
before the $20 off was over $50 (because the 10% off comes right off the price of the item rather than the total at the end.)
Then I checked out using my Disney Visa.

It is very important to follow these steps as certain codes need to be added before you check-in and some after. Also, make sure to activate the codes (I made the mistake of not doing that a few times myself!)

Hope this helps!

I did the same as HayGan.

I first cleared my cookies, signed on added $50 or more to my cart, entered the visa code then signed off, added $50 or more then added a code activated and signed on.

Basically what is happening is this. When you add items to your cart and then a code the program really doesn't know who you are. At this point you are anonymous. Then when you sign on as a registered user it takes what's 'cached' in the anonymous users cart and adds it to your registered user cart including the codes.

If you then sign out it holds onto the items in your cart including your codes. Then you can add items to your cart as an anonymous user again and then sign on to have the 'cached' items added to your registered use cart and so on.

I'm a programmer and there are some serious bugs in this system. It shouldn't let you stack no matter what. It should be checking the codes each time you add or remove an item. I was thinking on the way home last night how I would rewrite the program so this wouldn't happen......but why mess with a good thing!!!! he he

hope this helps

Then I removed everything from my cart that was a duplicate or that I didn't want but made sure that my total after the 10% but
before the $20 off was over $50 (because the 10% off comes right off the price of the item rather than the total at the end.)
Then I checked out using my Disney Visa.

It is very important to follow these steps as certain codes need to be added before you check-in and some after. Also, make sure to activate the codes (I made the mistake of not doing that a few times myself!)

Hope this helps!

I just quadruple stacked, so I am psyched!

I played around with it for a while and found that it did not matter how I ordered the codes...any order of entering the codes seems to work. The key is, as another poster said, that you hve to START with something over $50 in your cart. Then add one code.

Log out.

Add another item worth more than $50 in your cart,

Add a code

You will notice BOTH codes are there.

Just keep doing this until all codes are in place.

Then go in any remove items that you don't actually want.

It works...might take some patience, but it works.

Worked like a charm! Thank you so much for the time it took you to put these explicit instructions. I just told my husband last night I was waiting to order my son's costume until I got a good deal. My order was $128.28 (I bought alot of PJs) with a discount of $52.70 - even though I forgot to add the HalloweenFun code. Now, I'm stressing over that $10! LOL!

I was just so freaked out because I can never get this site to work properly. The only way I can get items into my cart is if I write down all the item numbers and then do Quick Order, otherwise I lose my cart everytime I try to add something else. I probably had to Login 5 or 6 times after putting in all my items just to pay for the stuff. I thought that at any moment I would get a message reading "DENIED"!

I behaved myself, though, LOL! I had a ton more in my cart that I deleted before I hit the "proceed to checkout" button. I got the Mickey suede slides, a pair of logo shorts for DH, 3 HM pin sets (hey DizneyDogs-couldn't you leave some of the HM bust and HM sign pins for the rest of us?!-just kidding-I won't be greedy!). I also got the Cindy and the Snow White costumes, as well as the Snow White crown. My order total was 64.++ after everything, as I had to pay tax, but got free shipping. I was jealous when I heard everyone raving over how nice the Snow White costume is, now I don't have to be!

Oh you have to get them it's too good of a deal to pass up!!!
It's not $50 it's only $23.90. Can't beat $1.20 for trading pins. If you call they won't give you the discounts. I have called in the past and they told me that sometimes online their system does accept more than one code so they know about it. This has been a continuing glitch in their ordering system for a few years but I am not complaining :earboy2:

I just ordered 10 pin sets (based on your say so, so you can explain to DH!) for a total of 36.36. How did you get an aditional 10 off? I used the 10. Visa code, the 10percent, the 10off, and the free shipping. I tried to use Halloweenfun, but it wouldn't take it because I wasn't buying costumes. Why is mine 10. more than yours?

Kinda glad I placed the order when they were still available, so I'll be paying 1.84 per pin. I'm thinking that I'll probably get the "out of stock" email though, cause the website said unavailable about 10 minutes after I placed my order. How long does it take to get that dreaded email? Do they partially fill your order if they can? Will I still get the discount?

If you still want pins you can order the Nightmare before Xmas sets they are $7.99 for 2. Order 7 sets apply all 5 codes and it comes to $20.33 for 14 pins ($1.45 per pin) true not as great as $1.20 haunnted mansion but still very cheap trading pins none the less

I ordered exactly as the OP suggested, and got a total of 21.++ for the 7 sets of pins! Now, if the earlier order is canceled because the HM pins were sold out, it won't be a big deal. In fact, if I didn't think 1.84 was still a great price to pay per pin, I would cancel it myself, since the Nightmare pins will only end up costing 1.47 each (since I used all 5 codes). Oy, now to wait for the charges to hit my credit card, along with the 500. room deposit I made last week....although, all three orders combined only total about 120.

Use of $10-off Visa Code:

Qualifying purchase based on pre-tax, post-discount amount and excludes shipping & handling charges, gift cards, animation art, Walt Disney Classics Collection, Disney electronics, DVDs, videos, CDs and cassettes, video games, CD-ROMs, books, sing-alongs, read-alongs, pre-sales, gift boxes and items not in stock.

I wanted costumes for my 2 girls. I followed Haygan's instructions, but added HalloweenFun to a set of items -- for another 10 off! Here's what the order looked like

3 princess costuems 34.50 each (subtotal sligtly over $100!)
20% off (automatic!)
10PERCENT (total of 30% off)
Halloween fun (-10)
freeship (automatic with halloween costumes)
tenoff(-10)
visaschool0510 (-10)

total with tax $46 :cool1: :Pinkbounc $15.33/costume :cheer2:

I really only wanted 2 costumes, but was afraid to take one off and mess up the 20% off code. And I would have ordered a lunch box, but couldn't tell if the freeship code was working.

Thrilled...thank you for the advice!

Just to make us all MORE nuts about this...

If you have already placed ONE order, when you get your order confirmation, scroll down and you will see the code SUMMERFUN05 for an 10% off your next order.

THIS CAN BE STACKED, TOO!

It is specific to those who have already made a purchase, so the site has to recognize you. Here is the system:

You have to LOG IN first,
put something in your cart,
add the SUMMERFUN05 code
click apply
LOG OUT

Then, do all of the other codes (logging in and out) as you did before.

Do the 10percent code last.

You will notice that EVERYTHING in the cart goes to 20% off!!

Yippee!

I'm interested to see if Disney modifies any of the orders with the multiple discounts. The only reason I say that is that I had to call today because my order did not show up on my orders page, and my confirmation number would not pull it up. So I called to check on the order and they see it pending for shipment, but the total she gave me was not what my confirmation showed (and was only 10% off of the original cost of the order.) I did not press the issue at this time, as I'm waiting to see what the actual charge to my card is before I look into it.
I really hope they didn't take off multiple discounts.

Your total must be at least $55.56 before any discounts for it to work otherwise like you said it will clear out all the codes and you have to start over. $35 off a $55.56 order can't beat that :cool1:

It will be interesting to see as well. This has been a glitch in their system for several years now but this is the first that I have seen them offer so many codes at once. I have yet to see them fix the problem or cancel orders but who knows.

JCpenney occassionally has had a glitch in their system as well and they have always honored my orders.

Disney did cancel orders a few years back when they had a coupon code that was $15 off a $15 purchase with no limits so basically handing stuff out for free. What a mess that one had to be. Everyone and their :dog: took advantage of that one.

I did another order for the 7 sets of Nightmare pins, so hopefully those will not be sold out. All totaled, I'll have 28 pins to trade (from both Nightmare pin orders), if none of these end up being sold out. I placed an order for the adult Minnie costume accessories for me and DD2, watch, and one set of PJs for DD2. The order totalled 25.70 after discounts. Well, legally they can't charge you a different amount than the confirmation invoice that you were emailed. If they find an error then they have to give you the option to agree to the additional charge or cancel the order. I'm not calling DD about it because as someone said that just draws attention to the orders. I did look up my CC online & the pending charges are 4.17 over what my orders total so I called that company. The DD charges went thru on 8/22 and then there are two charges of 2.07 & 2.10 from DD on 8/23. If that is all they are going to adjust it, I wont complain. I'm not opening any packages from them until my bill is completed processing so that I can return them if they wipe out everything. We don't have a DS here so I would need to return the package.

I checked my totals per my online orders, and the sales tax listed was not correct for my area. It was actually a dollar or two less. So, I'm wondering if maybe they were just adjusting the tax. I am suprised to hear that it was a separate charge, though. My orders from 8/23 and 8/24 are still "at the distribution center", so I don't know what they will actually charge to my credit card.

DisneyDirect has always charged me temp charges they go away after awhile usually it's just $1. Also I have noticed even if I don't place the order it still goes ahead and puts this temp charged on my credit card I noticed JCpenney does the same thing. Last month when I was placing orders Disney made about 25 $1 charges on my account and it locked up my credit card so I had to call visa and tell them it was me and she explained that they offen do these temp charges to check that it goes through a valid credit card it was no big deal and she cleared the temp charges and off I went spending again.

I just checked my orders online, as I had gotten an email saying the HM pins were sold out. Looking at the online status, it appears only part of the pin sets were sold out at the time I ordered. I had ordered 10 sets at I think 5.39 each. So if only 5 are available, that means my order is under 50. Does that negate my free shipping, the 10 off 50. from Disney Visa, and the 10 off 50 from the website? Should I cancel the order?

UPDATE** I just checked my email- it says only one pin set has been shipped. That would mean 5.39 + 6.50(?) shipping. That's like 5.95 per pin... I called my credit card company, and all they have pending is the original 36.36 that all 10 sets would have been. Should I leave this alone to see what they actually do charge me? I called Disney Direct to ask if I would still get free shipping if I placed an order and a portion was sold out, thus making the order total under 50. The CM told me I would be charged shipping. Oh well, guess I'll play the wait & see game with this also.

Yes, sorry, in my excitement, I didn't spell it out.

WooHoo. It stacked the 10% and the 25%, so I got the Jack costume for 35% off, plus all the $10off codes. Original order was $49, new order is now $33. (I also had a Tink costumer for my Mom's little terrier, she will be so adorbable). My first order had already shipped, so I'll just return that one to the Disney Store when it comes.

You could have also broke your order into 2 orders and reused all the codes again. Remember you only have to have $55.56 before discounts. So if you are placing a large order you can break it into 2 orders to save even more since you get free shipping anyway.

Oh man, I didn't even think of that...

I'm editing this to say that I double-checked and didn't spend enough to split into 2 orders, so I guess I could have added more ... LOL.

I only spent $80 and got 5 pairs of PJs, a pair of socks, a pair of slippers and the Herbie costume (yes, my 4 year old DS wants to be Maggie!). I could have saved $10 more if I had remembered all the codes.

Thanks again everyone!

My pins will be like 1.44 each, because I ordered extra sets. I didn't want to be stuck losing my discounts if some get sold out before my order is processed. I also ordered the Jack Skellington shirt, as it looks really cool. First, I ordered 12 sets of pins. Then I ordered 7 sets of pins, and the Jack shirt. The second order was only 23. after tax, but the first was 34.62. I am getting reallllllly nervous that they are going to cancel or adjust the totals on all these orders. Has anyone been charged yet? Was just looking at 2 orders I have that I placed that were 15 minutes apart the difference between the 2 order numbers is 646 so let's just say that disneydirect gets 600 orders every 15 minutes.

Now let's say 500 of those orders to make it simple is using all these stackable codes and only counting the 3 $10 codes which is $30. So 500 orders x $30 extra giving to the customer = $15,000 every 15 minutes, $60,000 every hour and $1,440,000 every day and these codes don't expire until 8/28. Ok it's probably only a drop in the bucket to them but I would be firing the programmer.

The other day the right amount was being held out of my bank account in the pending transactions. Now it's not posted anywhere- not charged and no $$ being held for it.

Now I know I didn't just get this stuff for free, so I'll be intersted to see what price I do pay for it.

I'll keep all of the stuff even if it's not on sale. There's only one thing I would want to return and there's no way my ds would let me once he sees it (power rangers back pack).

Wonder what my final price will be. I hope I have SOME discount when it's all said and done.

That's right. All my hm pin orders were charged correctly. Like a previous poster said I don't think they can charge you a different price than what your confirmation indicates unless they contact you and give you the option to cancel or they completely cancel the orders. I just got confirmation that my pirates of the caribbean items have shipped but I haven't been charged yet I will be watching my cc and making sure that they are the correct amounts.

You can return items to the disney store still I believe. I am a best guest so I get free returns so I always go that route now as my local disney store always takes forever and a day just to figure out how to do a return and they can never figure out what discounts I got since I usually only buy when I can stack.

Well I can't figure out what the heck they are trying to charge me! :( The 45.45 & 2.07 extra charge that must have been for the tax on one order has been applied to my card. Now there should be another for 33.00 pending BUT there is a total of 238.35 pending & I don't use this card except when there is a discount deal with using it. ARG!!! The rep said that the 45.45 was done on 8/23 & 8/24. One is still pending. The discounts were 61.05 on the order for 3 costumes & 36.55 but that doesn't add up to the total pending. I can't do anything until the charges either fall off (which the rep seems to think that they will since he saw the same amounts posted twice) or get posted. I asked what I would need to dispute the charges & if the email showing the invoice & shipping confirmation would be enough & he said yes. DD would actually lose more money if everyone has to dispute their charges. Each time a merchant has a dispute filed against them they are charged an amount to process that, not the person filing. I wouldn't open these packages until this is all settled. DD's site hasn't changed my total due for either order either.

madge

Ok, that's a bit odd....my total pending is very similar to the same amount. Like $253.xx. I have a pending charge for the co-pay to my daughter's ENT, and I stopped at Staples for school supplies. No more than $22 total left to clear.

I put 2 of my Disney orders on this card. One for $44.50 (which they charged me $46.31 for) and $28.66, which must still be in my pending charges because I don't see it listed in my account activity.

I just called my CC company to check on the pending charges from Disney.

Here are the amounts they gave me:

29.53
1.20
41.49
56.12
54.92
30.53

The bolded charges are ones I shouldn't have. Well, I imagine the 1.20 is for adjusted tax, but the other two :confused3

The discounts on my 1st two orders were 51.57 and 33.10. Those amounts are pretty close to the mysterious charges in bold. My CC company rep said that, since the charges are still pending, they could drop off, but I'm not holding my breath. He did say that I would just need to provide them with my email invoices/confirmations to dispute the charges. I guess I'll just wait and see at this point.

This really won't be be good for Disney if they start charging the discounts on peoples CCs. I can't imagine the backlash. It's their programming glitch. They should just cut their losses and fix it so this won't happen again (although I hope they don't :teeth: ).

agreed.

What I can fault any company for, is allowing me to finish the entire checkout process without a glitch. Send me confirmation of the total price paid, and then charging my card more than the amount I authorized.

This has been an issue at many websites. Most of the time, the companies do a mass-cancel of orders. The stacking of the codes was a glitch in the disneystore site. You can still stack codes today, AFAIK.

I too checked my disney visa this am and was told by a customer service rep- disney charged me 5 different times. 2x for the discounted price- another for one that was like $2.00 more and 2x charges for $1.00. she said they were only pending so maybe the 4 will fall off :confused3 the other order I did was on my visa debit and only one charge went through. both orders have been shipped so we will see...

Jennifer at Chase was extremely helpful :)

I hope I can explain this right, LOL.

I placed 2 orders at Disneydirect. One was $44.50 and the other was $28.66 I have a charge that has posted to my account for $46.31. There are 6 pending amounts on my account:
$44.50
$1.81
$28.66
$30.47
$1.00
$1.00

Some of the transactions have the same authorization number and all the pending amounts "should" not post to my account. She said that Disneydirect appears to have run everything through twice, with the same authorization numbers. Odd. At any rate, Jennifer advised me to keep checking my account to see what actually posts.

How are y'all able to see your pending amounts?

I have a Disney Visa and can see my posted amounts on 'Account Activity', but didn't know it was possible to view pending charges. :confused3

There should be an category down the row of charges showing Pending charges. You cannot see the individual amounts, just the total. CS can see the different amounts. I am wondering if they put a charge thru the day we placed the order & then again the day they shipped the order out. Both of mine have gone out according to the emails that I received & the site still shows the same totals.

Looking for advice -- I was going to order when this post started, but wanted to check my local disney store first. They are more $$ and they didn't have what I wanted.

So i went to order 2 costumes (free shipping on them) and used the tenoff coupon for $10 off $50. Then I logged in and found that 2 codes were active, the $10 one and the 10% one. I guess from when I was messing around before.

Anyway, do you think I should deactive the 10% off coupon or just go for it and see what happens?

Seems like the ethical thing to do is just use one coupon. I mostly care about getting the costumes!

Very strange. I placed 2 orders. One that totalled $35.14 and one that totaled $65.85. I just this afternoon got the charge posted to my Visa for $38.01 and $68.08. That is $5.10 more than what it was originally. The strange thing is that if I go check the status of my order at disneydirect it shows the orginal price not the price that was posted to my account. :confused3

I'm thinking that's where the difference lies. When I placed my orders, the sales tax was listed as estimated, and it was definetly less than what it should have been for my county. I'm sure that they will add the proper sales tax to your subtotal when they ship your order. That would account for the few dollars in difference.

OH NO!!!

Looks like I"m a bit late catching up to this !!! I just got back from WDW late Wednesday night, and today is the first chance I've had to check the DISBoards!!

I was trying this out, catching some of the stacked codes ((seems the VISASCHOOLS0510 doesn't work anymore)), then at one point the site told me "Sorry, the site is closed" ... I hit the back button and continued on with no problems .. then I looked at my cart again and all of the stacked codes were gone!!!

It now says only one is allowed! Seems they caught on to their glitch!!

I'm always a day late and a dollar short!! Congrats to those of you who were able to make out on this deal!!!

That was what I first thought except they added on MORE to the smaller original amount than they did for the larger amount. So if they estimated my tax was X% for both orders (at least it seems logical that they would estimate the same amount :confused3 ) then the amount added should have been more for the larger priced order.

I can't know for sure because when I printed out my receipts only the subtotal showed up. The money off, $0 shipping, and tax were all cut off. Figures.

Disney Store and Disney Direct no longer carry the same merchandise, and it's my understanding that you can no longer take returns from the catalog back to the stores.

Disney stores are owned and operated by Hoop Retail (The Children's Place) and Disney Direct is still owned by the Walt Disney Company.

I just returned a halloween costume and accessories to our local DS the other day - no problem, I had the packing slip - CM explained that the only thing they will not do is exchange items (but they would have given me the sale price credit that I paid through disneydirect towards the price of the costume in the store) - they are not owned by the same company, but took over the stores with an 'agreement' to accept returns - he mentioned that the agreement was only for one or two years and he didn't think they would continue it after that. - I would call ahead to the DS and check their policy with the store manager before hauling the luggage to the store or refusing the order.

I had a second Disneydirect charge actually post to my account this morning, and the amount of my pending charges dropped substantially. Makes me think that, while the totals are slightly higher than the confirmation e-mails, I'll only have 2 charges to my card and all is well :) I'll probably call Chase, just to make sure that Disney has released the other charges.

If you go to the return policy for disneydirect and print it, it does say that you can return to The Disney Store. It's probably an agreement that was decided on during the sale.....but with all things considered, I believe disneydirect.com and the catalog will be sold to TCP in the near future, so that is why the connection has not be cut. The TCP just acquired the disneydirect and catalog outlet stores, so the online and catalog should or could be next.

Disney Dream Desk PC Set must be returned in its original packaging within 15 days of delivery date and must include the original packing slip.). To return by mail, please send prepaid via UPS or insured USPS. A preaddressed label has been attached to your packing slip for your convenience. Be sure to include your name and address on the label (we will not accept any packages without a return name and address). Please allow 2 weeks for processing. Or, visit any Disney Store location and present your original packing slip.* Returns made to Disney Store are subject to Disney Store policies. My DD(4) is 42" tall and weighs around 42 lbs. She has a Cinderella dress from last year from the Disney Store that is a size XS. She can still wear the dress, last year it was floor length, this year it is several inches off the floor.

Got my Haunted Mansion pin orders today. They did charge me extra on the tax not sure quite how they are calculating it, it's about $2 more than my confirmation order. However saving $35 by stacking I sure am not going to complain about being charged an extra $2 that I shouldn't have been.

My charge to my card was just over $2 more also (and tax was already calculated previously.) That's strange.

My order arrived today (my son is THRILLED with his costume) and had to place another order for DH who decided he wanted a costume pirate:
I was able to stack a 10% offer and $10 off for it, but all of the other promotions were not even coming up as an option (the other 10% offer, the other $10 offer, and another one--they all said code had expired or didn't exist.)

I wonder if the 'extra' tax money is actually tax that is owed on the whole total ~ BEFORE the discounts.

I know when you use a coupon at a restaurant or store, that you still have to pay sales tax on the entire amount, even though they deduct some money from what you pay.

Just wondering....

I had the charge show up on my Disney Visa online statement (still have lots of pendings but hopefully they will disappear). It is slightly above the original amount on my online receipt. However, I have figured out why.

In my case I purchased 2 costumes and 1 accessory. I used all the discounts available. Disney estimated the tax at 7% (but I actually live where it is 5%) and based the tax on the amount after ALL discounts.

From Original receipt:
Subtotal: $78.50
Discount: ($53.55)
Est. tax: $1.73
Grand total: $26.68

From Original receipt:
Costume $24.15
Costume $24.15
Accessory $6.65
Total: $54.95

I actually paid $27.70. Here is why. The tax is actually calculated on the amount of the order after % off discounts but before $ off discounts. In my case my items cost $54.95 after the 20% and 10% discounts but before the three $10 off coupons were applied. Tax at 5% on $54.95 is $2.75.

So we get:
Item after % discount: $54.95
5% Tax on this amount: $2.75
Less $ off discounts: ($30.00)
Grand Total: $27.70

The shipping label had the amount of 4.34. The table was 24.99 and they applied the two 10.00 dicounts to this order. Ok so that care of one of the carges on my CC. I received notice that 2 of the orders are in route. I'm waiting for the 3rd email notice to come through. My credit card has the correct pending balances. We don't have sales tax so the charges are right on with the invoice sent via email.

My other 2 orders were shipped a few days ago and I placed all 3 orders on the same day, so I'm wodering why the delay. I sure hope they didn't oversell...had this happen before. (The order that hasn't shipped yet is--of course--the one with the costumes in it! I hope that they didn't sell out during our little frenzy!)

If the item is still showing as in stock online then I think you are safe.

Well, IDK what to do. I got my order today with DS's Captain Hook costume. It looks nice BUT the velour jacket is COVERED with white mold!!! :( Now do I just try to wash it out since I ended up getting it for such a great price or will this stuff even wash out? I don't want him getting sick wearing something that has mold on it. :(

they shouldn't even give something like that away. :( I think I'd call guest services and see what they suggest.

It's funny that you mentioned the mold on the jacket...I ordered four of the camp chairs with the Mickey icon on the back and two of them had what looked like rust stains on them and all four had this white powdery stuff on them (almost looked like starch?). For the record, they are the most uncomfortable chairs ever. And to top it off, they went from $19.99 to $9.99 just a few days after I ordered. AARGH!!!

(Doesn't matter though as they will be returned a.s.a.p.)

They are sending me a return label for this one & sending me a replacement costume. I sure hope that it wasn't a problem with the entire shipment of those costumes. :(

Many thanks to the people that posted this deal and spelled out all the steps to make it so easy to order!!! My 2 DD's are wearing their beautiful Cinderella dresses and watching the Disney planning DVD as I type this. They were absolutely thrilled. The XS was just the right size for my 4 year old. We would never have gotten these without this board! Thank you!!!

Please help!
I'm following the specific instructions (was going to purchase halloween costumes today anyway- for us to wear at MNSSHP on our upcoming trip) and it's not working for me at all. I'm doing exactly what was said to do- but the TENOFF and 10PERCENT codes are saying "no promotion has this coupon code. please try again". I'm not logged in- just like the instructions say and it's saying this when I apply the code- before I can even click to activate it then log in. It's over $69 worth of costumes at this point. What's going on? Can someone help me figure this out or have those cpns expired already?

Oh no. I just read my email about those codes and see it did expire on 8/28. I can't believe I waited too long. I just came across this post about stacking them late last night! *wahhhhhhhh*

Okay since I procrastinated on reading this board and only saw this post late last night- I can only do it using summerfun and halloween fun (plus free shipping because it's costumes). However, before I place the order and pay- just want to clarify that it IS okay to wear like incredibles costumes at WDW on MNSSHP??? I'm purchasing dash, violet and Mrs. Incredible for us... but don't want to get them if we're not allowed to wear those in the park that night! PLMK?

I'm sure those costumes will be fine for the MNSSHP.

BTW, another code came out today that you may want to try. I haven't tried it yet so keep that in mind. It is DISNEYTREAT for 10% off.

Okay I tried the same instructions to do that code and it worked! Now it's 20% off.
Question though-- can any of those codes be used AGAIN? If so, it would be worth it to do 2 seperate transactions to get the same 20% off but also the $10 off AGAIN on the 2nd transaction (my total even after discounts is over $120). But it won't work out that great if I only did half the order -used these stacked codes, paid and then tried to do another order and none of those codes can be used more than once.

So anyone know? The codes I used are: halloweenfun, summerfun05 and disneytreat- are any of those ONE TIME use only? Please let me know. :)

Summerfun05 is a one-time-only code. The others should work again (not 100% certain on Disneytreat--I haven't tried it).

Good luck!

Thanks, I didn't want to risk it so I just went ahead and placed my order. I got some of the backpacks with attachable lunch totes also. total was $158 but I saved over $40 using the codes- so I'm happy. :)

There is 4 codes you can use to stack

visaschool0510 $10
halloween fun $10
disneytreat 10%
DMC10 10%

plus with a costume purchase you get a free light up wand added to your order! I just purchased Jafar reg $79 on sale before discounts $39., Princess sand and water reg 59.95 on sale for 14.99 before discounts and a tinks wand 9.50 before discounts. Normally this would have cost me 155.45 but due to the sales and discounts my total was 31.58 before taxes.

Well good grief... first I miss an opportunity to get more discount because 3 cpns already expired- then I order and the next day sure enough another code is mentioned/comes out. Figures!

Also I purchased 3 costumes plus a pet costume- I didn't see anything about a free light up wand! *pout*

If you order hasn't shipped yet, then call the 1-800 number (on your e-mail confirmation) and cancel the order and then re-order online using the codes.
