After having a lot of trouble trying to use coupons on the website, I called National's 1800 number. (I figured mine was just a blackout date but thought I would try and call anyway). And when I gave the guy my Disney club coupon number he said that at Tampa's site, they were not able to accept coupons. He went on to say that that meant that the site wasn't doing well enough to discount reservations. I wonder if he was correct on that, or maybe I misunderstood him? Anyone else used coupons for National Car Rental at Tampa?

Now I'm wondering if the EA will have a good selection? I reserved a full-size at the same price just in case.

They do accept the DC coupons at the Tampa airport. In fact they accept the DC coupons country wide. There are no restrictions on the coupons or the DC discount.

I used a $50 off rental coupon at TPA last month. No problems.

I've taken advantage of the DC codes in Raleigh and Providence as well without any problems!

We flew into Tampa in late July and used EA. I used both the DC discount and a 1day free coupon. When we got to the isle my son wanted a PT Cruiser (he's 6)-- they didn't have any, but the woman said she could give us a convertible for $10/day more. I didn't want one so I didn't question her but I thought if it was on the isle you could take it.

If it was on the EA you could have taken it at no additional charge, however, if it was in the convertable aisle (sometimes they aisles are not clearly marked) the extra charge would have been applicable.
