I thought I might as well start numbering my tips, they seem to be coming to me fast and furious, and we still have two months to go before our trip LOL.

I understand from some of these posts that certain pens can be difficult for the characters to hold to sign autographs. Here's a hint I hope will work. (Haven't test drove it with a character yet, only my husband's big hands).

Take a regular size Sharpie marker, hot glue a 1" strip of craft foam around the pen where your fingers would go when holding it. Makes a nice no-slip grip. Do you think Mickey will like it?:D

P.S. Do a search of my other posts for a tip on organizing toiletries in zip-loc bags.;)

Wow you certainly are accommodating>>>>

I watched Mickey in particular sign books and it took a bit of manuvering using a regular click type pen.

The hard part was watching books shoved at the characters and having them struggle to turn the pages. One irate parent was "squawking" after that the character had not signed iin the next spot but skipped pages, Really!!!

I think that would be an important tip, even more than the pen.

A regular sharpie w/ out the modification would also work, but thanks for the thought. Also, any fat pen will work. Even those giant novelty pencils work. Also though, open the book to the page you'd like signed.

Sharpie makes a big fat pen and you can find these at most office supply places.

To keep your place in the autograph books, and to make it easier to open when you spot a character, use a fat rubberband over the pages.

I would recommend one of the large ink pens they sell at the disney stores. Our first visit, I bought a red sharpie for my DD and a blue one for my DS. After getting SO excited about seeing the seven dwarfs and getting their autographs, she was left with a huge red mark across the front of her favorite dress!!:( It does NOT come out, we had to throw it away! So, from experience, use a large ink pen!!

Any thick magic marker will work well. I find that the Sharpies bleed through the pages in the autograph books.

Also, be sure you have the pen cap off for the character.

Their hands can't grip enough to pull the cap off...
