OK, so maybe not January, but we're going to POR Sept 18-23. Now, I know you probably don't care, but heck - I'm excited ! ;)

We were at ASMo last Dec from Dec 19-23. One day we spent the whole day just touring different resorts to see the Christmas decorations. Its hard to describe in words, you really have to see the decorations.
This year we will be in SW Florida for Christmas (Dec 17-31) then at POP Dec. 31-Jan7.

I was told by someone that they keep them up for a little while after new years. This is our first time and only time with the kids (3 teen girls). I would like to go back with dh only to enjoy disney.

Christine, thanks for the info. on the decorations. I just assumed that they would be down by the time we arrive. With our current touring plan, I just don't have a day to see the decorations this time, but to those who can work in a day to see them, I highly recommend it.
Thanks

Tell me, you Disney experts! What kind of clothes do I have to bring to Disney for beginning of January??? Here in Montreal we are used to snow and cold, so I suspect that we won't need our winter coats for that time or am I wrong???

Saratogo Springs Resort Jan 1st - 12th

To answer your question about January weather in Disney. It is a hit or miss month. This past Jan we arrived on th 9th and they just got over a heat wave and for the nine days we were there we wore pants, rainjackets & maybe a light sweater on days. Dont get me wrong we still swam everyday, the lifeguards thought we were nuts since they were wearing heavy jackets, touques and mitts :rotfl:

I love going in January for many reasons and one of the reasons being the weather as it is perfect weather for the parks but dh would prefer to go when it would be abit warmer.

Thanks! We went this summer in june and it was so HOT, I told my DH never again in summer! So that's why we are going back in January, and while we were there it rained a lot, so missed a lot of things! Lets hope this coming trip will be better!!!
