best rate great for x-mas

I just tried the best rate and we got Wilderness Lodge standard for Dec.22-30 for $129. per night before taxes. This is considered holiday season when the rack is over $300. I had no idea that the discounts were so huge! I am so excited- maybe best rate is going to be great after all.

How do you use the best rate system? Sounds like a fantastic price!!

You have to be a pass holder and when you log on to the site you will find it under special offers.

Wow! That's a great price for holiday season. I'm going in December during holiday season and just checked. Nothing :scratchin I checked every resort. You must have been in the right place at the right time. Good for you.

AKL is available for checkin at that rate for 12/21 through christmas. It seems like the 12/21 arrival may be the time now.

That must be new because the black out dates for Best Rate were 12/20 through 1/1. Good for you!!!

Those rates are unbelievable! I'm not even going at that time, but wanted to see what would come up. Plugged in 12/20-12/30, and came up with courtyard view at the WL for $185/night before tax - rack rate is $395 for that time. That is amazing! Congrats to all who can take advantage of this!

My beef - my rates for value season aren't near the discounts these are. Why would Disney offer such significant discounts for their busiest season, when people will fill up their hotels at those ridiculous rack rates anyways, but then give those of us coming at slower times such piddly rates? It makes me mad! :mad:

I can't believe it, we have secured Best Rate for the duration of our trip at Christmas. We already had best Rate 1.2.05 - 1.6.06 at AKL, but after reading this thread keyed in our arrival date 12.25.05-1.2.05 for Coronado Springs and saved $802.00 on our rack rate booking. Best rate seems to have worked fantastically for us. Our flights were already booked so we are committed and it looks as though we have saved a total of $1200.00 on our trip. I am absolutely thrilled with these savings!

As these were supposed to be black out dates, if you are travelling for the holidays to WDW, I urge you to check your dates.
