"2005/2006 - Haunted Mansion Holiday - Rumor - (8/8/05) The latest rumor claims that not will the well received Haunted Mansion Holiday transformation happen this year, but they may have dropped the idea all together. Our source was told that their studies claimed that many of the foreigners who visit WDW either don’t know about The Nightmare Before Christmas film or they would just rather see the regular old mansion. If so, it’s a shame given how well received the ride was reported to be in Japan."

I liked The Nightmare b4 Christmas but a lot of people don't know it's a Disney movie. Well, lets face it, it looks NOTHING like one lol! :rotfl2:

They are continuing to do it at DL and in Japan this year. Why would they want to change over so many mansions at the same time? DL used to have the Haunted Mansion Holiday event, and WDW the Happy Haunts, both of which are huge money makers for event services. Why would they want to drop one of their big $$$ events, and repeat something being done at their other Magic Kingdom at the same time. It makes more sense to leave one alone and only change over one here in the US. The rumor also was that last year's Haunted Mansion Holiday event was DL's last, after 4 years.

FYI: I love Haunted Mansion Holiday! I think that it is a great change to the Haunted Mansion and adds a lot to the seasonal time. I hope they continue to do it at Disneyland as it seems very popular. I think it would be well received at WDW too, but that is just my opinion.

Well, considering that when I walked past the closed Mansion yesterday, it already had the exterior up, I'd have to say this month old rumor is wrong.
