Here is a picture of my voodoo lily (Amorphophalus konjak) taken just a week or so ago. Its the tall one. I have had it inside for a month or two in a south facing window, watering only when the soil appeared dry. All of a sudden the trunk started to appear shrivled and wanted to fall over :sad2:
Then some of the leaves started to turn a washed out yellow. I put it outside on my covered porch last night and now it just looks even more terrible. We had a pretty rough thunderstorm here today with some gusty wind so now it also has broken branches and it was laying over in its pot. I don't kill very many plants (mainly fuscias :guilty: ) and this is driving me crazy.... any ideas what i might be doing wrong?

Wendy I know nothing about this lily, but maybe it needs more water then your giving it. I find plants that don't need lots of water require more water when the summer heat arrives. The air dries out the soil and the leaves. Or maybe it need to be replanted.

I put my plants outside in total shade in the summer and water them every day, even my Christmas Cactus.

An update, the info that came with it said to plant in well drained soil...well when the stalk finally started to rot I cut it off and dug the bulb out of the potting mix (which was dry on top but very wet as you got farther down) not well draining soil (it iwas still in the nursery container and potting mix) The bulb was soft and had some rot. I am currently drying the bulb thoroughly and am hoping that when I replant it that it will resprout but I am not at all optimistic :sad2: I do hate killing plants....
