what's at the pool house??

Hey Everyone!!
we will be coming in to Fort Wilderness to stay at the cabins Oct. 26-30. This is our first trip to Fort Wilderness and I was wondering about the Pool house. What's at the pool? Should we buy a mug and is there a coke machine there that we can get refills?

I don't know about the pool by the cabins, but the main pool has a drink machine. It also has a concession stand open from 12:00 to 5:00 that offers free refills on the mugs. There is also an arcade by the main pool which was just redone last month.

Hate to tell you this, but the concession stand at the pool is only open seasonally. Afraid it won't be open for your October trip. You can get coffee in your refillable mug at the Meadows Trading Post, but for soft drink refills you will have to go to Trail's End.

ftwildernessguy...is the concession stand just open in high season? We were there at the middle and end of May and it was open then, yet the campgrounds seemed pretty quiet. We're going again in November, so just curious.

Also, this is sort of OT, but are the pools heated when it gets cooler? Thanks!

The concession stand will be closed after busy season ends - after Labor Day.

The pool is kept at 82 degrees! In the winter months, it feels good to be in there, but :cold: when you get out! LOL!

Does it open around memorial day? or before Easter maybe?

I think it usually opens around spring break - March sometime. :)

It was open the first week in May and the campground wasn't that busy at all.
