OK, so I thought this was so good I ended up watching the advance episode from next week on E4 after the feature-length pilot.

Did anyone else watch that one?

What I want to know is:

How on earth can a polar bear survive in the jungle?
How stupid was that bloke who couldn't even finish the US marshall off properly :rotfl:
I am so wondering what that Kate girl did - thought, when they were first showing the flashbacks, that she might have killed the blokey who'd given her the job but obviously not

I am soooo impatient, how am I going to last a week waiting for the next episode :)

I've seen all the episodes from Season 1 of Lost. (I downloaded them from the web!!!). All I will say is.....

STUNNING.

You will be hooked. I was (and still am!). Can't wait for the new season to start.

I watched the first two episodes - I don't have E4 so couldn't watch the third :(

Kate has obviously committed some awful crime :confused3 but I reckon will be proved innocent in the long term :teeth:

What about that thing that had been transmitting for sixteen years then??!!

Looking forward to the next one :)

Miffy, what are you doing here talking about the telly when you're going to Disney World tomorrow :rotfl:

The transmission that had been running for 16 years, I can't believe how quick that bloke worked it out. By the time I went to bed last night, I still couldn't figure out the maths :confused3 (How sad am I that I was actually trying to work it out :rotfl2: )

Andy, am now very tempted to ask DH to download them as well - I'm so impatient ;)

I thought it was a great programme too (I also watched the next episode on E4.) I can't figure out that Chinese (?) couple. He seems very strict with her. I am also wondering what Kate did and if we will find out. I can't wait for next week though.

I can't figure out the Chines couple either - though I reckon the woman might end up having a fling with the black guy.

I chave to admit to crying a little tear when he brought the dog back to his kid at the end.

I watched this as it was broadcast earlier in the year (well about 24hrs after eeach episode). Stick with the show, it is superb. I recently downloaded a custom htdv cap 7 dvd set of the full series so I could lend it my mates. Looks almost retail quality, its very nice.

For those of you who cant wait for them to be shown here, the entire series has just been reposted on alt.binaries.multimedia . The eposides are in divx format so you will need a divx capable dvd player, a chipped xbox running xmbc, or watch it on a PC. Its about 350mb download per episode.

Hi my names Julie and I'm a LOST-a-holic...lol

Did anyone watch E4's Lost Revealed?
It shed some light on the recent events but after listening to the writers…they said they weren’t ready yet to explain about the Polar Bears and the island monster...maybe in series II.

There are some good sites to have a look at (some contain spoilers)
http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0411008/

But the best (IMHO) is:
http://www.lost-tv.com/

Again be warned they do contain some answers...but if your like me and need to know check them out.

I’ve got my Sky+ all set up with series link while were away (in 13 days!) but I may buy it out there if it’s that cheap…WallMart here we come.

I have read that new viewers (ie most of the uk) are having a tough time avoiding spoilers, given the extreme time delay between the US broadcast and us.

I think its extremely dissapointing that Channel 4 could not have shown this earlier.....they were actualy waiting deliberately till the end of Big Brother before broadcasting it, and could have quite easily shown it earlier.

Whats more dissapointing is that over the months, I was reading about it airing in other countries before the UK, even countries where it was having to be translated first were getting it before us.

What they might be able to do though, which mightnt be so bad, is start series 2 immediately after they finish series 1.

Channel 4 has a bit of a reputation for messing around with high quality American drama series that they've purchased. The completely messed up the scheduling for West Wing, with the result that this great series never got the audience that it deserves in the UK. I eventually gave up on Ch 4 and started downloading it (as well as buying the DVDs when they were released).

Oh dear! the airline has gone out of buisness due to the loss

http://www.oceanic-airlines.com/

Personally I think that the aircraft and pax have been taken by aliens to another planet to see how they react in this type of stress and that the island has been used before (hence the polar bears etc...)
It would also expolain why no overflying aircraft or sea vessels have not picked up the distress beacon for 16 years

What happened to the aircrafts dingys by the way??

On the Oceanic web site, go to "track flight" ignore the flight that was lost, but look at flt number 572

plus, go to seating chart from book a flight and click on the seats, something unusual happens!

Also, put the departure airport and arrival airport from Flt 572 into the front page "Quick search" and press find

What did yo think to it Vicky ?
Once again the writers have managed to surprise me !
Who the hell is the Scotish guy down the hatch ? How did he get in there ? Quarantine ? I was trying to get a look at some of his surroundings. Most of it looked dated, like it could have been there for the 16 years, but there were a modern looking washing machine and dryer there.
Bizarre to say the least !

ChildsPlayDG
09-23-2005, 06:05 AM
There was a lot of other surprises in there as well.

The woman in the accident was Jacks future wife.
The man brought in at the same time, ie the one she hit was Shannon & Boones father.
The scottish guy is the same one Jack saw at the stadium.
If you notice the Quarantine sign was on the inside of the door meaning the island is the quarantine, not the hatch.
When walt appeared to shannon, he says 'Dont push the button, the button is bad' (hint, you have to play it in reverse), presumably meaning the execute button on what looks like a C64.
By the looks of most of the stuff I'd say about 1970s but the washer & dryer threw me because they looked pretty modern. I also noticed he had an american pistol but russian rifles (ak47). I also suspect that Locke has already met him or been in the hatch before, if you think about the episode when boone dies, he goes to the hatch and hammers on it 'I did everything you asked of me'. I think he has met desmond before and that he needed the heroin from the plane but knew it was unsafe. Not sure about that bit though.

I believe that next week deals with the raft from the previews at the end of epi 1.

I actually can't answer any of your questions :confused3

I'm not actually sure the writers know what direction there going in.We watched a program before it with interviews with the cast and writers. They said they only make the show 3 week's before it goes out.

I suppose that way they can change little bit's if people are along the lines of guessing what's going on.

Actually, he was just Shannon's father (her father married his mother).

So do you all think Desmond is Scottish? My first thought was Scottish, but my husband said Irish. His accent sounded off to me so am glad a few of you have seen it. Figure you are better with the different accents than I am.
