I got 200 credits for playing 50 times at the Music game. I don't know if this was posted before or not. :bounce:

Yes, this was posted, by Maleficent2, in the "VMK Players Guide" sticky post at the top of the threads. You also get 500 credits for your 100th time on stage, so get to spinning those records, people :)

I swear I've played 50.

Does it have to be 50 of the same song or 50 different songs? I know someone else has to be in there to hear it to get credit, right?

If you play the same song or different songs. Apparently, however, it counts only the ones for which you get credits. I know one afternoon early on, I found an empy music room and just kept playing the song. Ticked off the number and everything and never got a thing. Once I hit the 50 and 100 mark for the "credit" plays, I did get my extra credits.

I do not know if I can handle hearing my tune play that many times. :confused3 The things we do just to get credits.

LOL! I never play VMK with the sound on, so I have NO idea how painful my song may be to listen to. Sorry! :rolleyes1

Is there any way to tell how many times you have played your mix? I have no idea how close I am to the 50 times.

No, it doesn't have to be a "credit earning" play...

but YES you have to have people in the room. :)

you don't have to earn credits? pfght! if I knew that, I'd have had thiat long ago! darn one hour rule!

You can earn credits more then once per hour. I was playing songs again and againa and got the credits a few times in the hour. Also can save a song for credit hourly. I didn't know that till today.

I heard a rumor (probably not true) that some have gotten inferno randomly while playing their music. Anyone can confirm that?

Umm, I don't think there does have to be someone else in the room. I usually go to empty rooms and play my mixes and I still got the credits at individual, 50, and 100 levels.....

far as I know, dancing inferno was only given out during that event. (whenever that was.) (any details on that? please do pm me!)

I usually play at empty rooms also. Don't have to wait in line. Hope I haven't wasted all that time. I get the credits for playing still, but I haven't reached the 50th song though.

Another thing I learned today is to get the saving a song credit, you can just open up an already saved song then resave it. You don't have to change anything or remix it. You still get the credit.

When I tried just playing any of my songs, the fifty rule didn't seem to work for me. It was when i switched to playing just one song (the same song) every half hour, that the fifty and hundred mark seemed to add up. I've already gone through one song, and am now working on a second one. Of course I had a four day weekend the other day due to some outpatient surgery so I got to really rack it up over that weekend.:)

Make a song that's one note long. That way it's quicker to play. :-)

The plays you get money from are the ones that count towards your total. There doesn't have to be anyone else in the room when you play it.

For a quick 20 credits, go into the edit room and load your one-note song then save it, then play it outside. :)

I do have a question, though - does the bonus come after I play a total of 50 songs, or do I have to play the same song 50 times? That is, if I play one song 30 times and another song 20 times, do I get the bonus?

it seemd to me to work best at the same song over and over. I was playing all four songs, but gave that up, of course the ten points each time is what counts most, I think. So now I'm playing my second song.:)

Someone else who turns off the sound! I thought I was the only one. How many others do that in the interest of sanity?

I have played my redundant song many many times in a row and have not seen any big gain in credits. Is there a pop up message telling you that you got the credits, or that this is your 50th playing?
