I call it the "Out of Site Need To Buy Scrap Syndrome"? (actually it works for housewares too)

After viewing Patty T's scraproom, I realized that we all must suffer from it. I was perusing her pictures thinking, hey I have that (somewhere). I remember ordering that and hiding it from DH now where or where did I put it? And really, how many tape deipensers do we NEED when most of them are now "refillable".
I do not yet "Own" a scrap territory so to speak. It's all mix moshed around the house. However, I suppose if it were all together, it would be a nice size inventory. Since it's not, I tend to NEED to buy that which I might need cause what I own is "out of site" :rotfl2:
Plenty to keep me scrapping for the next three years! But this Syndrome is infectious. It's passed on by Disboard enablers, posting favorite sites, layouts, "shouting out a sale"

Really as I sit here writing this is dawns on me that today is the last day to use 50% AC Moore coupons! Perhaps a trip to Michaels & AC Moore is in order! :earseek: Well I haven't excercised today so I guess... walking the aisles in search of.... burns some calories. :rolleyes1

aaaaah I use to have that when I lived out of cropper hoppers, paper takers and other hidden spots (those are the days Jenn remembers!) I now however have 'come out of the closet' with my scrap crap and now I use MORE of it! My FAVORITE thing is that hardware department at Walmart thing on my desk cuz the lumpy stuff is all right there - no more hunting, digging, now where did I pit that!
(although I have yet to find the softball transparency I bought in April and I really wanna get those pages done!)

I actually told DH at one point I wanted to use all 'tool boxes like his' on my new scrap room:
ya know the craftsman ones from Sears :earsgirl: :earsboy:

Yep I know what your talking about. I don't "Own" any space either. I have a little bit here and a little bit there. I keep saying that I need pull it all together. Maybe after my 3-day walk in October. Right now the training is consuming allot of my time. But I will really want to scrap that event for sure.

Softball transparency? Where? Who? I need one! Help!

OK, back from the thread hijacking, lol! I hate when I know (or I think) I have something and I can't find it!

I just redid my sewing room (translates to pitched out all the junk in there, repainted, and organized) into a sewing/scrapping room.

One of the things I found in my pantry were some old canning jars. I cleaned them and put them in the room, however the jars are still empty. What do you have in your jars. I saw one had ribbon, but what's in the other jars? :confused3 Can you tell I want to fill up all my storage space? :rotfl:

I have all my MM alpha rub ons in one and then another with sizzix tags that I randomly puch from scraps of paper in various sizes - then when I need a tag for something I can grab one.

I got mine at KMart. Its a little different in shape but basically the same and it was under $20. They have them at Home Depot too. I am looking for a second one with more of the larger size drawers. But cant find one with the right configuration of small/big compartments

Hi from Ontario Canada. I too love buying anything scrapbook and any type of storage containers. I found two large jars laying around my house. My sister is a flower designer and she gave me a huge bag of left over variety of silk flowers. I took them all apart and put them in the jars. Just a little start to my spare/scrapbooking room.
