I was just wondering if anybody else on here has weight problems???
Because I do I am 13 I weigh 140 and am only 5'3"
I just want to know maybe what ya'll do about being overweight? Cuz I would really like to go on a diet but I just cant get my mom to buy me the stuff?

I'm 5'4", 16, and about 130 lbs. It's normal for my age and whatnot. Your Mom doesn't neciassarly have to buy you anything, you just need to find healthier things around the house to eat and drink lots of water and juices. Alos when you go out to eat get something healthier.

To tell the truth, I am. Overweight, I mean. I'm not going to say what size I am, but I'll say that I'm on a diet. I'm on something called the Zone Diet, where they send you food, and you can't eat anything else but what they send you. It's kind of expensive, but I think I'm losing weight fast, so I guess it works! :cheer2: Also, I don't exersice as much as I should, because I'm an actress and a singer, and I don't do anything else besides that. But I'm starting to go to a gym, so yay! Good luck to you!

i think im over weight though..

I spent 5 years starving myself and struggling with an eating disorder to look the way people expected me to look and now my body and health are totally ****ed up because of it.
I don't care how I look now, All I want is to be healthy again.

Off and on, I've been dealing with the same thing. Thinking I was too fat, starving, over-eating, purging.. It does nothing good for you. I finally got to a nutritionist, who told me I was fine for my body type. 5'8", 15 and 130lbs. Sometimes it's hard not to get carried away with your body issues. I still obsess over the size of my jeans, and the way my legs look.. stuff like that, I just don't know if I'll ever stop doing.

I finally came to realize that my body type is curvy and i love my hips and love my chest and I have found aguy who loves me no matter what size I am.
The eating disorder was definitely not worth the health consequences.

honey, for one, you dont sound THAT overweight.
but i must say im not the skinniest thing in the world. i wont reveal my size on here because it makes me uncomfortable, but i am doing something about it. my mother and i started up curves (a womans gym) and we go everyday (...well i cant now because of some toe issues ><; ) but hopefully it'll help with the rest!
btw- good luck to all of you who really and truly (not all ya perfectly fine girls who just think your fat XD) are struggling with your weight. keep it up and remember everyone is beautiful! :goodvibes

ok, im 14 and my weight varies from 105 to 120, depending on what i am doing. When i started boarding school. i weighed like between 120 and 130. (oh, i'm 5 ft 2in.) but then i started playing field hockey, and our practices where pretty hardcore and i went down 2 pant sizes. and i think i eat more than i ever did. So if you start exercising and maybe take up a sport, like field hockey, you could loose some weight. And dont eat like little bits and pieces of things, eat three meals a day(doesnt matter how big, as long as they are healthy and your not like binging or starving) and sometimes a little snack like once a week. Thats what i did, and now i am happy with my weight most of the time. and always remember muscles weigh more than fat.

I'm overweight, but I prefer not to say my weight or size. I do want to lose weight, but not too much weight. Only enough so that I'm at the normal weight for my age and height. I just want to be completely healthy and comfortable with my body.

Thanks you guys since earlier when I asked ya'll this I have asked my mom to maybe drive me to the gym.... she didn't do that but she did get online look up that Zone Diet ( which I also heard from somebody on here ) and signed up! Then my cousin drove me to the park and we walked some laps, surpirisingly it was not as hard as I thought it was, you know the walking and stuff. Then my Cousin took me to the gym he had membership to, and we worked out a little bit on the bike thingy and tredmill (sp) and a couple other things... Writing this thread made me realize I am not the only one who feels ummm ensecure (sp) with the way I look. It really motivated me to get fit. I also went to this BMI sight and it says I am government approved but still I gonna get fit...
I don't know when the food will be coming in but I feel skinnier already! :teeth:

Jaimie we go to school together and you are not fat! I have known you forever and I KNOW YOUR ARE NOT FAT, even if you weigh that much you don't look fat
I can't beleive your mom agreed to buy that zone stuff but I was over there when she done it

I am 12, 5'2" and I weigh 87 pounds, I work out every day in a swimming pool for two hours, than on Tuesdays I do light work at the gym, with my dad and sister

I am 12, 5'8'' and not the skinny. I wear any size of clothes, but the most comfortable pair of jeans I have are a size 8 from L.L.Bean. I'm inbetween 130 and 145...I recently lost 20 lbs, and need to start loosing more. I'm okay but would like to loose more. :)
I am part of a gym that I go to pretty much every day.

It's weird though, because I am the small child in my family even though I am the middle child, because my older sister's clothes from 3rd grade would probably fit me now, and my little sister is starting to weigh about 60 pounds, 27 less than me, but then again, they are both tall

my shoe size is also high! it also depends on what kind of shoes they are too, but still. i also JUST went to the doctor's and they said i was 5'6 and 106 pounds. I grew even taller! how terrible is that? and i agree with 2HOT2touch...pick up a sport. thats even gives me opporitunites to lose weight. especially, at my new school, they're like hardcore- die hard basketball people who win section every year since 1954, and have theeeeeeee the longest practices. and if you do pick up a sport, dont quit cause its hard, like i almost did this year. keep trying and you can reach your goal!

She isn't unhealthy she just can't gain weight. I live with her and she can eat. She doesn't eat as much as me but she likes to eat. We both work out hard at the pool. I just like food way too much. I am a little over 5'9 and I weigh 135. I am putting on muscle in the gym though and I am starting to tone up. I fell a lot better, and I think that my swimming will benifit from it.

i kinda have a weight problem.. im sensative about it at sum points n then i think n realize this is me i cant do ne thing bout it.. im 18. 5'4 n about 165 lbs...in pants i wear a size 15 n shirts i get larges or x-largers mainly xL becuz i like things baggy... im not really fat fat .. but i would like 2 lose bout 50 lbs... and itz not like i eat all the time like other ppl... im total opposite.. i like never eat sum times i got a week without eating .. just becuz im not hungry.. im usually never hungry.. but i DO NOT have an eating disorder and sum ppl think i do becuz i never eat... how ever alot of my friends tell me im not fat and there the kinda ppl who tell things how they r no matter what even if it hurts ur feelings... i think im gonna start my diet n really tryin 2 lose weight starting sept. 3rd

I'm not the skinniest person in the world, but I'm not necessarily overweight. I am, however, sensitive about my weight and the way I look. I went on a "semi-diet" where I excersized and ate only healthy food for a while, and lost 10 pounds. That just goes to show you that eating healthy does pay off.
By the way... unless your doctor specifically tells you to watch you weight, you're okay. If you just want to lose some of your tummy (or whatever, lol) excersize is the key. Don't just go on a diet to get skinny, because the results can be harmful. Make sure to talk to your doctor about what certain diet may be right for you, becasue he/she would be the most helpful source of guidance.

I dont see how you think that is over weight. I'm 5'1" 126 lbs. I do some sort of exersize almost every day except sunday anf inbetween sports, but i also eat alot it's pretty much you see me eating or you see me playing a sport most of the time. I'll admit, I do wish i was lighter and had a flatter stomach but i'm not worried about it because i do exersize alot. If you really want to lose a little bit of weight Just eat healthy and walk or do some sort of exersize like 3 days a week

mhm, me too. when i first made h.s. dance team, i was dancing 6+ more hours than usual. i've dropped 15 lbs since then.

OMG I AHTE IT WHEN SKINNY PEOPLE SAY THEY ARE FAT! u are not fat do u want to no what fat is i weigh 190 and am 13 u people dont realise how i would kill to be 130 thats great i will never be that small i wish but i can lose weight dont go on a diet u wont lose alot of weight because theres not alot for u tp lose and u will take it more seriously and eat less food. takee it from me exercise a litle more and eat healthy dont diet its not good for u i no enough people with eating problems so go out get healthy IM FAT AND PROUD!!!!! me with rob=ate all the time, got big.
me without rob=became bulimic, lost 5 lbs in a week.
boys aren't good for the whole diet-thing.

like someone said, muscle weighs more than fat. that said, i'm 5'2" and weigh 130. a lot of it depends on genetics too. just get involved in a sport or some other kind of physical activity, like a dance class, or yoga, or pilates, or whatever. jsut remember to accept yourself. :)

I went walking again today but just like 2 times around my street. I don't think I look that fat but the scale does not agree with me and ya'll are right it could be worse and I should stop complaining, maybe I am not trrying to get thinner for me maybe it is for other people, I also think I have gained some weight this summer just sitting at home, you know. All my family is also not the skinniest none of my family is real thin... I am going leave my mom out of it and go jogging as much as I CAN until school starts. I will try to fit a little jogging in now and then after school ( my junior high is also big 3 floors with classes on everyone and then I have free period that I CAN GO OUTSIDE AND PLAY BASKETBALL or something ).....
Again I WEIGH like 140 and am 5'3'
I don't look as fat as the scale sounds though....

oh my ..i feel like a hippo. i am 240, 5'8", wear a shoe 10 1/2, and my ****s are freaking d's. ok i would like to loose some wieght but sadly i am a lazy cow. i really don't care if kids make fun of me because i am fat, i use to but why should i be more depressed than i am about that. I just want to be myself! One day i will loose the weight but right know school is the most important to me. I want to get into vet school. How am i going to do that with my problems being fat, having depression , and so on on my back to worry about.
the strange thing is that i know a girl who wants to be fat, i don't know why but she does. she eat every thing that is in front of her, but no poundage is added to her.

I have the same problem. I don't eat a whole lot, but a lot of what I do eat is junk food. I need to start eating more healthy foods.

It's not that I'm not active or anything, I work out, I dance, I swim, and I play basketball sometimes. I was doing really good on my diet last year. I had lost about...15 lbs....I think. Well, at the beggining of August, I broke my foot. I was on crutches for like..3 months. I couldn't do anything! I wasn't even supposed to put my foot on the ground. I gained my weight back because of all the inactivity; I did however gain alot of muscle in my arms from using my crutches. Sorry, lol, that was a bit off topic! :blush: Well, that's been a year ago and I'm proud to say I'm losing weight again. So far I've lost like 8 lbs, I think? ;)

I'm almost 15, 5'5, and I weigh 135. Technically, I'm overweight for my age, but I don't look like I am. Don't go and diet because the numbers say you're overweight. Judge by what you look like. Muscle weighs more than fat. :)

I am 16 going to be 17 in Nov. and I am diabetic so I have to be on a diet because I am over weight some people lose weight when diagnosed(sp?) with diabetes but no I had to gain weight I was like 205 lbs. at 1 point in time right now I have lost 23lbs and I am now 182lbs. I still need to lose alot more weight. I was a size 22 at one point in time and I am now 12,13, 14, sometimes 15 depends on who makes the clothing. I wear a 10-11 shoe size and I am 5'2". I am short pants lengths that are long, reg, or short and I have to get the short and even those are kind've long.

i am 5'3", 120, and happy with my weight.i honestly don't care wut other ppl say about me and if i look fat, I feel comfortable with who i am, the only thing i do wish is that i would eat more healthy food. and for those of you who are on diets- keep it up and reach your goals cuz i know you can do it.. and for those of you who think that you are fat and are really normal - you are beautiful they way you are and if any 1 tells you otherwise, screw them.

MY friend went on a diet and she lost 5 pounds in 2 weeks by bringing healthy lunches to school instead of ordering the grease food from the caf) My other friend cut down to 1 sweet treat a day she never cheated she eats her regular meal everyday. she been on this for about two weeks and lost 2 1/2 pounds. my two friends and i play lacrosse that helps them too cause we have to run non stop. I am not overweight, i am probibly average, to underweight, but im still consious about my weight, till i decided to stop checking it! After that i became a lot more confident. Being classed 'skinny' isnt nice ether, im teased because i have small b**bs. I also get teased cause my ribs stick out (not due to lack of eatting, natural problem). I eat enough, and a lot of junk, but i cant gain much weight, and i used to get really hung up on how i look. I still do, but being thin is not nessisarly fun, they pick on me as a person, and about other features of me or my personality instead, which hurts just as bad. I also have to put up with a lot caus ei go to an all girls school, a lot of nasty silly girls who need a good kick! soz for the moan, but size isnt everything!

ive become immune to it now. when people "pick" at me or say rude things and my friends get all flustered about me not deffending myself, the truth is i cant and i dont care to. ive heard it, and no matter if i have improved, i still allow them to call me names. *shrug* unhealthy? yes. worth my time? no.

I'm 11 and 75 pounds. Wish I could look skinnier!!! One of my friends calls me anerxic(spelling?) HA! Most of my friends look the same (weight wise) and weigh the same. Some of my friends weigh more than my teacher! Most of my family is skinny. The whole thing about muscles weighing more than fat is true because my 17 year old brother is 230 pounds but thin. He is VERY strong. I am tring to get more active and eat heathier but don't like much food. I barley eat and when I don't I get in trouble.

I am overweight, but not nearly as much as I used to be. I have depression issues, and I am on medication for it...so, naturally, one of the side-affects of the medication is weight gain. Before all of the pills, I was always really skinny, but about 3 months after being medicated, I was 5'0" and weighed about 190 pounds. It terrified me, since I had always been so petite before and I was always really upset about it. Everytime I had to go shopping for clothes, I would end up crying hysterically in the back of a dressing room, because of the fact that nothing fit me. School was a different story entirely. I would always have people teasing me about the weight I had gained, and the taunting got so violent, that I had a lunch room full of high school kids stand up in their chairs and call me vulgar names while I was having to walk to my next class. About a year later, I decided to do something about it than just sitting around and crying. So I made a promise to myself that I would cut back on my daily intake of food, give up all chocolate and candy, and try to talk a walk around my block atleast once a day. Now I am happy to say that I am still 5'0", but I weight about 155 pounds. It didn't take me all that long to lose the weight, and my confidence and self-esteem has improved 100%. I am still a bit overweight, but I look at it as something that I can take care of in due time.

Yeah...It was hard at first, but every now and then, I would award myself with a small candy bar or a small piece of chocolate...That kept me determined to keep on going with my diet.

Aw, my gosh Kim . . . I'm sorry you went through that :grouphug: :grouphug: People can be so cruel sometimes; you just wonder what goes on inside those twisted little heads of their's, ya know? But that is great that you didn't let the teasing prevent you from getting out and deciding to change some things. A lot of people would just turn to more chocolate . . . it's a weakness almost every girl shares I think ;). 155 from 190?? I'm 15 (16 in Dec.), I am 5'6" tall, and I my weight fluxiuates from 115-117 ---depending on how much chocolate I've indulged in recently ;) I try and exercise every day (you know, walking, crunches, pushups, leg-lifts, Lotte Berk *ouch!* . .), and because I'm a vegetarian I eat a lot of fruits and veggies and stuff, and constantly watch what I'm eating to make sure I'm getting the right nutrients, so that helps me mantain a good healthy weight. I don't ever count carbs or calories at all, I just try and grab healthy snacks more than unhealthy ones. It works, and I'm very happy with the way I look. I'm not bone-thin, but I don't want to be. A girl needs a little curves! :teeth:

When ever I weigh myself I fell really bad even though I know that muscle weighs more than fat. I am strong and I have stated with a personal trainer at the gym to put on muscle for swimming. So I have decided to stop weighing myself all the time and eat less junk, because I work really hard at swim practice and at the gym. I am happy now!

I am small for my age.
I am 13, 4.5, and weigh about 84 pounds.
I am not fat but like I dont like the shape of my stomach. Like I dont know its weird like from the front I dont want to say I look fat but yeah you know what I mean, but from the side I look skinny, its weird.

Okay guys... yeah please don't obsess about your weight if you, in your heart, know you're okay. I hated that. I went through that. And it wasn't pretty. I try not to weigh myself anymore. I know in my heart i'm okay and I need to stop obsessing.
I hate it when people say things about themselves which is just untrue, or they are looking too hard. Thats where eating disorders start.
However, the song "Beautiful" by Creed is a great song to describe that part of my life.
Currently, I'm about 5'3, and i'm 120. Don't worry about how your stomachs look. So what. If you think someone is prettier than you or more attractive, don't worry. They are probably empty and uncomfortable with themselves. They probably feel like they have to impress people. And if someone judges you or picks on you because of your weight, they don't deserve your friendship. HECK, they don't deserve your PRESENCE.
Just be healthy. If you feel healthy, you eat correctly, then you deserve to be flipping happy with yourself. And I applaud you for being satisfyed. Everyone is beautiful.
Sorry, this just hits a certain spot in me.

I am about 5'1 and rage from 100-107 and small frame so thats average I guess? I dont know I dont really care to much either all I see in magazines these days are workout plans the right diet for you blah blah blah its dumb. Oh and if those m&ms are looking you in the eye eat them they are good.

i have actually lost poundage....i lost four pounds! though, of course i had to spoil that by working a cotton candy machine at a fair today :rolleyes: . I know one thing though i am never going to eat cotton candy, again!!!

i think someone already posted this but i couldnt find it to qoute it so i'll type instead :)
sometimes when i have a flu or a simple cold i'll lose a ton of weight. like, last winter, i had this horrible flu where i also had a horrible cough and sore throat. i couldnt move on my own and i could hardly see. if i stood up i got a pounding headache and felt like a had to throw up. i lost 10 pounds from that because i was so sick, and i weighed like 98 pounds.
also i hate when people who dont know me call me anerexic. i dont even look anerexic at all really. it hurts my feelings when people automatically judge me and think im one of those people who are crazy enough to starve themselves. i cant help it, its how im genetically built.
and i dont even know how people could starve themselves! i could never live a day without food! i love food <3 :) !

its kinda hard to do so tho.

NO. You are tall. You should weigh that much. You probably are a string bean. Everyone should watch what they eat but not because they are in danger of being overweight, but because it's healthy and stuff. Don't worry about it.

I am overweight, but not nearly as much as I used to be. I have depression issues, and I am on medication for it...so, naturally, one of the side-affects of the medication is weight gain. Before all of the pills, I was always really skinny, but about 3 months after being medicated, I was 5'0" and weighed about 190 pounds. It terrified me, since I had always been so petite before and I was always really upset about it. Everytime I had to go shopping for clothes, I would end up crying hysterically in the back of a dressing room, because of the fact that nothing fit me. School was a different story entirely. I would always have people teasing me about the weight I had gained, and the taunting got so violent, that I had a lunch room full of high school kids stand up in their chairs and call me vulgar names while I was having to walk to my next class. About a year later, I decided to do something about it than just sitting around and crying. So I made a promise to myself that I would cut back on my daily intake of food, give up all chocolate and candy, and try to talk a walk around my block atleast once a day. Now I am happy to say that I am still 5'0", but I weight about 155 pounds. It didn't take me all that long to lose the weight, and my confidence and self-esteem has improved 100%. I am still a bit overweight, but I look at it as something that I can take care of in due time.

That happened to me too! I losed like 7 pound and it wasnt my fault I wasnt staring myself I just never felt like eating (that's stange for me cuz I love food too) and I think whoevrer said Sarah looked anerexie I'm gonna beat them up lol (not really)

I have weight issues. I definetly do not think I'm fat. I'm 14, 5'9" and 140 lbs. I get a little self conscious whenever I have to wear a bikini but then I just remember that everyone is beautiful and people should like you for your personality not your body type. I also think that being in a sport helps so much. I'm on the swim team and during swim season last year I lost a pant size and almost 10lbs. in 2 weeks!! ::yes:: It was weird but I felt the best I had in my life and for once I felt like I could compete with all those skinny people..which I know is a bad thought and I shouldn't compare myself to them but its so hard when guys give them all the attention..ya know?? :confused3 But I will definetly say that being in a sport helps you lose a lot of weight. And don't eat a lot of sugars, too.

I don't have weight problem at all (I'm 5'6 and 120 pds) but I don't eat well at all, so thats what I'l *trying* to do. I eat way too much junk and not enough fruits and veggies.
To those of you trying to lose weight, I would definately say take up a sport. In the past I've played Field Hockey, I would eat waaay more than I do now, but I actually lost weight. Good Luck!
