Hi
We are going to Southern Calif. for a family reunion next June and we are thinking about going to Universal. If you have been to both Universal at Orlando and Hollywood, which one did you like better and why? We are interested in a tour of a working studio - how do they compare if you want to learn more about how movies are made? Thanks for your help.

I've also been to both.
USH is fun to visit, and you'll enjoy the back lot studio tour.
As to which is better, they both have unique qualities, so I wouldn't say one is better than the other. Check out my recent USH trip here.

It's a good idea to head down to the lower lot first, because that's where the rides are. The upper lot has the tour entrance, and mostly show attractions.

We have also been to both parks. Our fave hands down the ones in Orlando. We found the one in Hollywood small compaired to Orlando. We had an ok time in Hollywood, but would save our money next time if we ever go back to California. Plus, we missed Men in Black in Hollywood!!!

If you want a tour of a working movie studio, then go to Universal Studios Hollywood. USH is a working movie studio with a theme park element. USF is a theme park with a working movie studio element. USH gives you a better tour of a working movie studio because, well, it is! Other studios in Hollywood also give your tours if you want to see more working movie studios.

Personally, I live Universal Orlando better, but for you, go for USH.
Look who it is!

Welcome back, to the future!

Thank you everyone, especially for the link to the pictures. It sounds like USH could give us a decent taste for how movies are made and a little theme park fun. Thank you
