What is the best way to get to the all star music from orlando airport? We don't want to rent a car, but have heard comflicting info about mears and taxis. Does anyone know how much it costs to take a taxi? thanks

I hate to say for certain. I even called Mears last year for our January trip. I spoke to their taxi division and shuttle bus division.
For us, because there were four adults in our party, a taxi would have been cheaper. But I was out voted and we took Mears' shuttle. Which for us wasn't the cheapest or most effective way to go.
I also checked with Mears on pricing for cost to and from Belz (from WDW). A town car was cheaper than a taxi.
My suggestion would also be to call them and get the info direct.

It depends how many are in your party. Mears is less expensive if you have 2....around $40. A taxi will cost the about the same, then there's the tip. If you have 4 or more in the group, you might want to rent a towncar. Tiffany is good. You can print off a coupon on their site for a discount.

Just used Mears 2 weeks ago, it was fine.

I can't even begin to tell you how great Tiffany is! I heard about them on this board, and I was like, why not give them a try. IF anything horrible happens, we'll just take a cab. The best thing about them is you don't pay until you get to your hotel.

There is just something about having someone standing waiting for you with your name on the sign that is too cool! Our driver was great, he was really nice, and our flight was delayed over 2 hours. But he was still there at 1 in the morning smiling away.

Plus, you go directly from your airport to the hotel. You don't have to stop at 5 hotels before you get to yours like you would with Mears. Trust me, it doesn't seem like a big deal now, but as soon as you step off that plane, and you realize your 30 minutes away from Disney World, every second counts! You'll be so excited as soon as the plane lands.

Have a great Trip!

We just took Tiffany Town Car & it was the greatest thing ever! The cost was $75 round trip (that includes the coupon you get off their website). Joy was waiting for us at baggage claim, we zipped into her car right outside the door, stopped at a grocery store & were at our hotel (ASMu) in no time.....we tipped her then.....we had another driver on the way back to the airport (Darcy) who was great too.....ride was already paid for, we tipped him & headed home....4 of us & our luggage fit perfectly....cars were very clean.....

Mears is sometimes cheaper but will take you the long way to All Star (unless you are the first stop).

Use Tiffany Town Car, $40/from MCO to AS and they wait for you at baggage claim! You also do not have to elevator down one level to find cab!

Hope this helps............. L
