We are buying the annual passes for our november trip. The question I have is that when they release the codes for ap rates, h opefully soon. do you need a pass number to book them or do you just show it at the desk when you check in? We did not want to buy our passes untill the closer we got to our trip in November, but if I have to buy one now to get the rate when it comes out I will. Thanks, and does anyone know how long it take to get the vouchers in the mail?

They don't ask for it when you make the reservations, just at the desk at check in.

They started requiring a number with the new online best rate plan for AP's but they do accept a voucher number. AP rates are available now with the online plan for stays through 12/19, you must book 120 days in advance so it's too late for that for November.

I am sure Disney has had a lot of abuse of AP room rates and the "best rate" plan is really an attempt to tighten that process up considerably. A lot of non-AP holders were tying up the rooms and then cancelling at the last minute when they got some special deal off-site.

If I'm not mistaken, they are also now requiring a non-refundable deposit in addition to requiring the AP/voucher number.

can it be the voucher if we did not activate them yet? Thank you very much for the information. I mean at the check in desk, not the best rate program? I hope they release the dates soooon. :earsgirl:

Yes, voucher number is fine. You CAN'T activate your AP without actually being physically present, so the voucher will suffice.

The voucher number also works for ordering the DDE, if you are interested in that.

Hi. I hope it's okay if I just ask here. Where exactly do I find the voucher number? There is a set of numbers on the pass vouchers we just got but they definitely don't follow the order of what Disney lists for the activated pass. Am I not going to be able to log on to their AP site until I get it activated? This is all a little confusing... :)

This is all a little confusing... :)I logged onto the passholders' website and booked an AP-discounted room with just my voucher. It's a little tricky - thanks to the info I found on MouseSavers, I was able to figure it out. Here's a link to the info that helped me:

The info you want is near the bottom of the page. Hope it helps you, too!

Oh my! Thank you! It worked. :) I was actually using the process they used to figure out my AP number but I was a little confused about my name. It seems they put my first name with my boyfriend's last name... We are engaged, but I don't have his name just yet. ;) But at least I can get in now. We'll call Disney about the rest of it tomorrow. Thank you again! :)
