How do you keep yourself motivated when you have ALOT of weight to loose and when you have lost a few pounds noone can tell????

So far I have lost 3 lbs but really need to loose 100+ so I will need to loose about 15-20 before anyone will even notice.

I have a hard time with that too. I will find myself doing well for several days and then I'll slip. I have been trying to remember back a year or so ago when I was losing and was being consistent. I remember how much better I felt and yes it was slow, but it was coming off. I remember that I had to keep reminding myself that I was doing this for me and that no one could lose the weight for me. I have been back on track now for almost two weeks and those feelings are coming back. I had to just really set my mind to it and remind myself that I can enjoy my food, I just can't let it consume me.

I also stay motivated by visiting this board, there seems to always be others that are dealing with the same issues that you are.

Keep a positive outlook and you can do it.

Success is also motivation, imho. The 'notices' and 'remarks' will come, you can't plan on them, ask for them, but they will happen, sometimes when you least expect it, or long after you expect it. i.e. From Dec '03-June '04 I lost 46 lbs and no one at work said a thing! I took the summer off, lost only another 11 lbs, and when I returned in Sept. people were saying things left and right. :confused3 The people that see you everyday, just don't notice. Don't get discouraged tho, the remarks will come. :goodvibes

Again, the WISH Board is truly helpful! I do WW online, so no meetings, nobody IRL to go over this with, and these WISHers are a blessing!

Onward and Downward!!! :cheer2: Best WISHes to you! :grouphug:
