Crowds In November

We are planning on going to Univeral over the Thanksgiving holiday this year, November 22nd thru November 29. I was wondering if anyone knew about the crowds at this time of year, and if there will be anything special going on.
Also how is the weather. We have been there in October, February, June and July, but never at this time of year.
Any help would be appreciated.

Days before Thanksgiving: Empty parks
Thanksgiving Day: not crowded
Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving: very, very crowded.

Weather: anybody's guess. Sometimes it is hot and other times very cold.

We went last year during that week and are going again this year at that time. The weather was wonderful and the crowds were low. I'm thinking of visiting on Thanksgiving Day this year. I'll have my dad and two sisters with me and since it's his first trip, we'd like to go when the crowds are not so bad.
