Ok, I need some advice for those with kids who have done WDW in Dec (or around). My kids will be 23 months and 6 1/2 years when we go.

We are going to WDW Dec 3-9. I checked out last years hours just to get an idea of closing times.

Here is my question....most parks seem to close 7, 8 or 9 unless it is MYMCP and you have tickets. I was going to make Advanced Reservations for 5ish. But if it takes 2 hours that means you aren't out of the place until 7ish.

What do you do then?? Do you have enough time to go back to a park? Should I reconsider AR times?

Help!! I am totally confused now!!!

I'm not sure, but I think the dinner service at many restaurants begins at 5:30. It's never taken us 2 hours for a regular dinner, so if you have ADR for 5:30, you'll probably be done by 6:30/6:45.

We'll be there the same time as you will be there (Dec. 2-10) and we've never been in December either. We have a 6 yr old and a 4 yr old. We don't usually go back to a park after dinner, but our kids are used to going to bed at 7:30. If your kids are able to handle it, you might be able to squeeze in some after dinner park time.

Have fun!

I would like to know also. I am planning Dec 06 and will have kids that are 2, 4, 5. so I think we would like to do dinners at 5ish. I did 5 in Feb 04 and it worked out great. We would go to one park in the day, leave for a nap then another park at night for dinner (usually Epcot or MK if we were at MGM or AK) I did notice that MK is open later on Sat.

I think we only spent 1 hr at dinner so there was time to do something after especiallly at Epcot. We liked strolling around the WS, DD even fell asleep a few times.
