This was supposed to be a trip with my DD but she can't make it afterall :sad2: So this will be another solo trip for me. I've already spent her airfare on special events :teeth:

You guys are going to love October. We went the last 2 and are doing December this year. MNSSHP and food and wine festival are excellent. The weather was still very warm which surprised me for some reason.

We are going Oct 1st-10th. Would have been cheaper airfare to go in September but this way we get MNSSHP and the Food and Wine Festival -- but we are not doing any events. We are doing the free dining though. Can't wait.

Yep, we're still going !!! We are at OKW from Oct 16th to Oct 24th, and then at SSR until Oct 28th. We're doing MNSSHP on Oct 20th as well. Will be me, DH, DD8, DS5, Susan-Ontario, her DH, her DS10 and DD4.
Kathe ... sorry that your DD can't come now. Weren't we going to send her off with my DH while we had a Dole Whip and visited for a bit ? :teeth: What dates are you going, and what date for MNSSHP ?
Just found out that my best friend from high school and her family are going to be at the Swan from the 25th to the 31st.
I'll definitely have some limegreen on the fannypack or backpack ! And this time, whenever I see some limegreen, I will definitely walk up to strangers and say "Hi ... do you DIS" ???

We might drive down from TO for the thanksgiving week, DD first trip (1 year). We want to do something before DW goes back to work from Mat leave. Looks like it will be a last minute thing on skyauction or something so not sure yet where we are staying but I was thinking of MNSSHP on October 11th.

Yippee for all of us :bounce:
MichelleTO- I'm arriving the day you're leaving. I have a signature dinner that day booked at Citrocos, so they better not mess up at the airport and delay my flight!!
Mary-Liz and digscat-Maybe I'll see you at MNSSHP on the 20th :maleficen
I'm having dinner 1st at LTT with another disser, Taswira :) I am also doing the party on the 25th as well :maleficen (sorry, I just had to use the new bouncie again  )I will put a lime green ribbon on my backpack, but please stop me and ask...cause I won't stop you LOL. I finally got brave enough to ask someone in May if they were a disser, they had a huge lime green ribbon in their daughter's hair, and since it didn't match anything the little girl was wearing I figured it had to be a sign  :sad2: I won't be brave enough to ask again for a while LOL.
I'm staying at CSR, my fave moderate, from 10/16-10-27.
hockey mom- you will love December too! I went last Dec solo and the year before that with DD. Although the weather wasn't bad I am hoping it is a little warmer this Oct. I loved the decorations and MVMCP and the lights at MGM though.

:cool1: Our family will be there Sept 30-Oct 10. We are REALLY looking forward to eating at all the places we never would never have tried, simply because we aren't used to spending so much on food. The free food really the reason we bumped our trip up two years (I'm sure some other reason would have come up.).

I really wish we were going this October but we were worried money might be tight after the wedding. I had so much fun last October with the beautiful weather and F&W fest. It's actually an amazing time of the year to go :)

We will be there from Sept. 30 till Oct 10th, can't wait, we have been before and the weather has always been pretty nice, last time we went in mid November and it was nice but just a little chilly for swimming, we did however manage to get to Typhoon Lagoon one day.
SnowWhite:
I am so jealous, you are going to St George Island, that is one of my most favorite beach places in the world, and I have been to lots of beaches, I am from North Carolina but now in Saskatoon for 6 years and really miss the ocean. My daddy was in the Navy and we lived at the beach most of my life!
Have fun!

From North Carolina to Saskatoon? That isn't torture that is just plain cruelty! I guess the good news is that you can see for miles and you get to brag about all the tourist destinations in Saskatchewan like........and like.......and then..........are there any tourist hot spots there? :rotfl: I like your signature stating only temporary status!! This will be our first trip to St. George's Island but we hear it is beautiful. We are hoping that it is relaxing after a week at disney and the jacuzzi will get alot of use over the two days. Take care,

Mary-Liz-We'll keep an eye out for you at LTT. What time are you dining? We have a 5:05 seating. If you look at one of Taswira's posts(Shari) she has her picture in her signature. And you and Susan were both at the London meet a couple of years ago at Tiger Jack's, right? So glad to read that Susan is able to do this trip :goodvibes Bet she can hardly wait too.

Princess Aurora- You will love POR :) I have stayed at both POFQ and POR and they are both nice resorts. I did not stay in the Mansions, but it is a really nice resort to stroll around in. If you get a chance to see Bob Jackson in the lounge, do so, he is great! Boatwrights surprised me too, I had a very good breakfast and dinner there. I had heard a lot of complaints about busses since they go to POFQ first but I found the service to be very good.
Of course, my personal fave will always be CSR
Hope you find some good airfare rates.

Is there a meet yet for the 20th MNSSHP? I went last year on the 31st, and really didn't get to do too much outside of the parade, etc. So just grabbing a snack for dinner, and then doing as much as I can.
I will be having lunch at Trail's End, so that will be my bigger meal for the day.
This is a very packed trip for me, looks like you will get to stay for a wonderfully long stay! I am a big fan of the AC and CC at PI, up for a girl's night out?

Both DW and I have conferences in Orlando which start Thanksgiving weekend. So we're going down a few days early and staying at SSR on DVC points, then moving over to the Polynesian for four nights. DW's conference is at the Contemporary while mine is at the Gaylord Palms. This will also be our first trip to MCO without the kids. With accomodation and airfare paid for, this could be our least expensive trip yet! :)

Since we're going with friends who've never been, I feel a lot of pressure to make sure everyone has a good time. I've bowed to the pressure and signed up with TourGuideMike - man, talk about being overwhelmed. I was going to refer our friends there to see for themselves, but I decided not to; I don't want to send them into a complete panic. To think I thought I knew a lot about WDW!

Thanks to Mamudduck we're going to be down there from October 16-22 using her ressies for Vistana resorts. We're hoping to do MNSSHP on the 20th too. The only other day we'll be at Disney is probably the Tuesday at Epcot.
We're also planning on a day each at Universal, IOA, Seaworld and Busch Gardens. I know, very busy, but our kids are 14 and 17 and can go forever.
