Good gardening to all,
I have a mole that moved into my flowerbed and he just wont go away!!
I dont have them in the yard, just this one bed that is about 4 ft wide by 60 ft long.
He is just running back and forth!
Please any ideas?
Thanks so much.

Is it running back and forth ABOVE the ground? If so, it sounds more like a woodchuck/groundhog.

no he is underground and making a mess of my flowers. He isnt eating them but just uprooting them!
Trap him, poison him, get rid of him any way you can. One mole will lead to hundreds if not taken care of.
Last year I had a terrible mole problem. They eat the roots of my perennials, almost wiped out my hosta's. I tried repellents, maybe they worked for a day, all the while they were multiplying and devouring the roots to my plants. By the time I had realized the damage they had done it was too late for most of my plants. Some I had for years. I finally resorted to posions. Took a whole year to rid the yard of moles. Lost hundreds of dollars in plants.
There not that cute, pink footed, rodent I thought they were. There fast breeding, root destroyers who will wipe out your flower garden then move on to the rest of your plants.
I regularly treat my yard for moles now.

We had our first mole this year. We put a trap on top of his path..the kind that has a spike that shoots down and kills them. Not very nice, but effective. It only took two days for it to nab him.

I think that is the way I am going to have to do it!!
I hate the thought of it but the little stinker is tearing up the flower bed. :guilty:

Is this also an effective means of getting rid of cats?

Maybe you can shoot him with your "laser"
