DD & I had a great time in DL. It is smaller than WDW - the 2 parks together are about the same size as Epcot. This makes park hopping very easy. AAA flexpassports were upgraded free from 6day to 7 days! The Fantasmic Dessert Buffet was great! We got to stay thru the fireworks - very magical. The waitresses make you feel very special. It was my DD 11th B-day & they gave her a special chocolate pudding dessert & had everyone sing happy B-day. Goofy's Kitchen was different from Chef Mickeys. Different characters, you get to have your photo taken with a character when you walk in; many empty tables, but still they made people without ressies wait; food was very good; characters were not attentive - maybe it was my DD age, but we went on her B-day!

Loved pirates, Indiana, Haunted Mansion, Big thunder, Soaring, & Grizzly Bear Peak. Loved CA Adventure, but it is a small park. Pin trading was fun.

Universal was hot with very little shade; ET broke down while we were there. Knotts Berry Farm was filthy - we only stayed a couple hours & then went back to DL.

Wonderful trip!

Yes, being at a Disney Resort feels like you're at home, whether it's in FL or CA.

I'm glad you had a great time at DL! I'm disappointed to hear about Knotts though. What rides did you go on?

We only went on a few rides at Knotts before I got disgusted with the filth. We went on the flume ride (gum was stuck to the walls & floor in the line leading to boarding), the train (you could actually see them working on more attractions, see doors you shouldn't, etc & the actors on the train didn't really care), my DD went on the swing ride, & we went on the small roller coaster. We tried to get something at a food booth, but were totally ignored! They didn't even have the curtesy to say "I'm sorry we won't me open for a while".
