I am interested in buying a very small digital camera that would be compatible with an eMac computer. Can anyone recommend which one I should look into buying? Oh, I should mention that I am basically illiterate regarding digital cameras but I just know for sure that I want something very small and easy to carry and would want it to be compatible with my Mac. Can anyone help? I would be very thankful for your advice and/or recommendations! :confused3

It's more of a question of how much you want to spend. I've had 2 different Canon digital cameras and have been very pleased with the results. As far as the camera being compatible with a mac, it depends on what OS you are running. Most cameras come with software, but if your mac has iPhoto then you can ususally just plug in the camera and iPhoto will do the rest. It's more user friendly and easier to use than the program that came with the canon cameras. iPhoto comes with OS X.

Hi.

I have the CX7430 by Kodak (an easyshare) and have had great luck with it so far. I do use it with the Kodak software it came with and have had no problem. Using with an iBook with Jaguar (? 10.3.9)

I'm sure there are smaller cameras out there but it's working for me right now :) A bit smaller would be nice though but it's easy to handle.

On my last trip I dragged my iBook down with me, the next time I'm using an Photo iPod to hold my pictures, I've tested it at home and it seems like that will work best for me. I noticed in the recent Allears edition that they pointed out that this only works with the iPod PHOTO so people don't think you can buy the Mini and get it to work. I'm new to iPods so wanted to point that out. My Dad just bought their 1st digital camera (they use a PC) and is buying the memory sticks instead. I personally needed the music option for my walks so went with the iPOD.

Have fun with your new camera. I'm loving mine, the instant knowledge that the picture came out or not is great.

Basically any camera will work great with your emac. You don't even have to install the software. iPhoto will work with the camera and you can even set it to launch the application when you plug the camera in.

I bought my DBF a canon digital last Xmas, we took it to WDW it was great.

I got it at target, really inex*****ve 3.2 mega pixels. Its basically a point and shoot. It is now $149, it comes in black. You can get it at other places in diff. colors but I think target has the best price.

its small and compact, easy to carry around. its on their website.
