Can the dining plan work with a "room only" reservation through WDW? TIA for any info. you can provide! :flower:

No it can't work for a room only package. You have to book room at rack rate and buy tickets.

Couldn't have said it better myself! It killed me not to book a "quick trip" when they offered the free dining the last time!

I would keep trying. A lot of people are coming up on their final payment dates so some cancellations may happen.

AWSOME!!! :cool1: We are going Sept. 22-26 and I've got the air plane tickets but was holding off on on the room in hopes of a special offer. I'll check back first thing tomorrow!!

I think my problem may be my dates and the resort I'm looking for. Right now I'm booked for Oct 1-5, I want to add Sept. 30 (maybe even the 29th ):rotfl2:

There isn't anything for the 30th at a value with the dining plan. Today I also checked to see there were any AAA rates for my dates. There weren't any for Pop Century or POFQ. :confused3

Really, Ive been thinking of trying to do the same thing but I've been thinking that it probably was not possible at the value resorts. My family is staying at the all star music. I assume that they may have packages left over at the higher priced resorts.

I sure they will open up more rooms for the package, since it seems like many of the resort are full, this will give people the chance to maybe add a day or change resort, I am have been trying to change my resort for a while now!

Does anyone out there think that it will be very hard for people who book a stay now with the free dining plan have a hard time getting ADRs for their TS meals? I imagine that a lot of the resturants have a great number of ADR's booked with the very first offer of the free dining plan. Just curious.

When you say "just booked", do you mean just now, tonight?

I already have my ressies for the MYW, so I got in touch with my travel agent to see how we could make changes to get the free dining promo.... he said that he hadn't heard anything yet, but when he did he'd check on it.

I'm guessing maybe I'm just afraid to wait.... I'd so love to get in on this deal!

we usually go in the summer also. we didnt think we could this summer, so i was so mad to miss free dining. oh god, now it may be back. i am in trouble ,cause i was actually checking for avail. yesterday. the only thing with us, is i do no like to fly so we take Amtrak. of course the closer to the travel date, the more $$$it is. so for the SLOW train it may cost to much to even make out with the free dining. i am so mad at myself. i will call tmw .though just to double check. thanks for the info.

Oh yeah! It is ture! I just called my TA! We are already booked though with a group rate so I am just praying that she will be able to work it so we get in on it. I will know tomorrow when she calls me back!! PLEASE OH PLEASE LET US BE ABLE TO GET IT!!!!!!!!
