Lime Green Mickey's traveling in August

Anyone interested in wearing the "Lime Green Mickey" paint samples from Home Depot, so we Disers can recognize eachother on our August trips !!! We'll be wearing ours during our mid August visit !!! Hope to see you down there !!! :bounce:

Already made some lime green ribbons for the stroller with mickey heads at the end. Also thought this would help us ID our stroller in a crowed stroller park zone! We are putting the paint samples on the zipper pulls on our backpacks. See you there! :earboy2:

You can get the lime green "alien green" Mickey Heads @ Home Depot in the paint samples dept. It's a display of paint sample colors put out by Disney Paints and as samples you can help yourself to the colors you'd like. Being that "lime green" is the official color of "us Disers" ,I took a few lime green color samples.We're going to laminate the mickey heads and wear them @ WDW when we go !!! See you there in mid August !!!

Yes, Home Depot in Canada does have these. Just go to the paint chip department. You cannot miss it - it is on a nig display and the paint chips are in the shape of Mickeys!
I will be going to mine today and with my luck the lime green are probably all gone. I wonder what the guys at Home Depot think? "uhhm...Lime Green is sure a popular colour...." :rotfl:

I have worked at HD for many years and have never heard of missing green mickeys. I don't think anyone really knows about them in the stores. If anyone can't get them PM me and I will see what I can do.

Just went to my local home depot here in New york.. and guess what??? NO MORE MICKEY HEADS!!! They have One mickey head under glass and then the samples are regular looking square cardboards with a teeny tiny little mickey in the corner... I was sooooo disappointed.. anyone else come across this???

The Disney paint chips are located in a display in the paint department of Home Depot. There are many cards each with a different color on them with the color displayed in the shape of a mickey head.
DISers identify themselves with a lime green color. My mickey paint chip is the color called sonic boom. Others colors are nice, but to get the attention of a fellow DIS member this color must be a lime green shade.
You don't have to use the paint chip if you don't want to. Many DISers use lime green colored ribbon tied to strollers or backpacks. Some even create their own tags. It's a fun way to recognize members of our DIS family.

I am so excited, this is my very first post. My mother, my daughter, my niece (both 4) and my two teenaged nephews (16&17) are preparing for our trip 8/24-8/27.
We are all 1st timers. This board is amazing. I had to register just to tell everyone how much you have helped me.

I just cut the green ears out...and placed 2 of them back-to-back with a little glue stick and then laminated the double-sided Mickey Heads !!!! Then I punched a hole in between the ears!!!! Good Luck!!!

My little family of four (me, my DH, my 10 yr old step daughter and my mother-in-law) will hopefully be there Aug 21 - Aug 26, staying at POP!! It is grandma's first visit and sd's first visit ever! We have the dining plan and thanks to this site, I've made PS for the places we want to eat, and I have a pretty good itinerary. I'm getting so excited!! :Pinkbounc

We were just at Home Depot tonight and I picked up a couple of lime green mickey heads. We'll be at the CBR from the 12-16th. I think I am going to put them on magnets and put them on our door. My fiance thought that I was nuts. He couldn't understand why I was picking up so many paint samples. WDW1st-timers: I like the mickey idea with the pooh stickers. I made some door hangers, with paper that has a magician hat and paper with a castle on it. I put some Disney sayings, songs, etc on the paper and Pooh stickers.

We will be there. I have a Mickey with lime green background for my window at POFQ and will try to get paint cards for backpack. They were out last time I was there.....wonder why?????? Hopefully they will have some more.
