There are a bunch of them on this board, but I've only ever met one guy in "real life" (ie. not from a Disney message board) who liked it. He was pretty much perfect anyway, but alas...
Anyway, there are some nice guys here. Check out the single solos thread.

That wasn't nice. Why so hurtful? I'm a single male (and not homosexual) who goes to Disney but I probably don't love Disney as much as the original poster (or for that matter, most of the posters here including you).

Wow 13 days and the Lodge for the Holidays! I am soooo jealous. Looks like we'll just miss each other in August.
I've never been to the Lodge and I understand that it is great at Xmas. So I have a 1-bedroom unit and I am looking forward to it. I like Xmas, so I think this will be a special Xmas. My unit at Orange Lake is a three-bedroom. I have invited friends but I'm not sure they can make it since it means taking the kids out of school. Not a good idea.
I am making plans for a trip next May but I won't make anything definite until I find out if I am taking classes again or not. I am applying for a Ph.D. program. I expect to get accepted.

We do have our fair share of hockey players that is for sure. But believe me we have some hot guys who aren't hockey players either...lol It makes me laugh because most people think of us for hockey. Which isn't a bad thing at all, at least they think of us.

But, really, I must be hanging out with all the wrong gay men. Of our two closest sets of gay male friends, we can't get one to come down with us at all (even though, like us, they have kids!), and the other set is coming in Dec but only after I threw in the towel on asking (year after year after year - offering them free DVC accomasations!!!), and so just to be contrary they finally said, "yes."

I'm a 20-something gay guy who loves WDW, and I have yet to date anyone who can do more than tolerate my obsession!
Of course, trouble is, I'm also very religious, which is a big no-no in many parts of the gay community. So I end up having to choose between someone who gets my faith and someone who gets my love for WDW. That's no fun!
But that's okay, when I find the right guy, I'll teach him to love Disney. :lovestruc

Well, at least "oblivious" means he's an empty slate when it comes to Disney. The tough ones are the ones who are anti-Disney because they think they already know what it's all about. I'll take a blank slate any day! It means they get to experience the magic for the first time... with you!
Just don't overwhelm him by piling on the Disney stuff too quickly, or you might scare him away...

I know how hard it is to find a person who shares the things you love. It turned out that my ex-fiance hated Disney. Not to mention that we also ended up with other things that we didn't have in common.
I don't even have the obsession that some have. I just collect the Disney movies (animated and live action) and hope to get back to WDW. (I spent time trying to convince my ex to spend our honeymoon there).
It's also hard trying to find someone around my own age that has the same interests that I have. But all any of us can do is hang in there and hope. :)

well I am/was a Buffy fan (tho I liked Angel more) but the name actually came from a video game...well inspiraed by a game is more like it. The game Ape Escape. It hit here in the states, you played as a kid trying to capture monkeys (yes why the game was called Ape and not monkey escape I do not know) who were running around in pants with weapons and such..it was funny at the time...still is. Well then a sequel of sorts came out in Japan in which the object of the game was to actually run after the monkeys with a vacuum cleaner and suck their pants off and then throw them into a washing machine. ( :rotfl: leave it to japanese to come up with same crazy stuff eh? ) Well I thought that was hillarious...around that time I started playing some games online and decide the name monkeypants would be funny, especially when they were shooter games and some poor sucker was going to see the message 'you were shot by monkeypants' displayed on their screen. :rotfl: anyway the name has just stuck with me for years now.

And Oz had a good point- why ARE monkeys the only animal cracker with pants?
