Has anyone had the experience of entertaining guests while staying in AKL's concierge area? Our friends will be at the AKL also, but will be in a standard room. We see these people once a year at most and thought that sitting in the lounge chatting would be great for all of us since 2 of the 4 of us are in wheelchairs and find it difficult to maneuver around. Also, we'd not want to tie up a restaurant table for a couple of hours.
Thanks,
Sam

If you are able to travel, I have always found that meeting in the afternoon in downtown disney is great. You can get a table down by the water and sit and chat for hours. I have several friends that live in FL (I am in NJ) and whenever we go, we meet in DTD and "hang out" for hours.
Also, I could be wrong, but I am not sure that people not staying at AKL are allowed to drive up to the resort. I know that when we stayed there, they were checking people's names and room numbers, etc. before letting them through the gate. Things may have changed as I have not been there since 2003. There are lost of nice quiet areas at AKL - why not get a nice table out by the pool? The lobby is also really nice with lots of nice big couches and comfy places to sit. There are quiet little alcoves all over if you just look for them!
Hope that you have a great stay!
