Well, the dreaded last day has come. There is nothing worse than the feeling you get when you wake up on your very last day. Decided to get up early and get the laundry done. At least I won't be going home to a pile of laundry. I do wish the Poly had more laundry facilities. We were lucky and got there about 7:30 which I thought was early. We struggled to get 4 washers(Nan and I were both doing laundry)By 7:40 there was a line of people waiting to do laundry. While the clothes were washing we made a trip for coffee. By the time we got back it was about time to switch to the dryers. There were a few people that put their coins in the empty dryers while their clothes were still washing so no on could use them. I wouldn't have minded if their wash was almost done but it was just starting. After a few discussions meant to be overheard some of these people had a change of heart and gave up their dryers. Considering the size of the Poly, they really should have at least another laundry facility. Enough rambling!
After laundry we went to the rooms to pack up and clear out. We were out of the rooms by 11:15. The boys went to rent the water mice. They really enjoyed this and once again we were able to get some good video. We figure this will be the last family vaca for a while with my son since he will be off to college next year!
By noon time we sadly left the Poly and headed to DTD. The CA family had a 5pm flight and we had a 7pm flight. We figured this was the best way to get in a little more disney before we left.
Our first mission was to see about lunch at the Rainforest. There was no wait so we went right in. Most of us got burgers or chicken. The food took a long time to come out(not sure what the holdup was)but was very good. My ds ordered salmon which a couple people tried and said it was excellent! The kids loved the atmosphere and we really enjoyed our last meal all together!
After some shopping(we saved most of our shopping for DTD) the CA family left to catch their flight. We still had a little while longer and a few more shops that we wanted to look at. We left DTD about 4:45 and headed for the airport.
Unlike our flight to Orlando, we had an uneventful flight home(well, except the lightening that my dh thought was fun to film )Did I mention that I hate to fly!
We made it to our house by about 11pm. and by midnight we felt like we had never been on vacation. It's amazing that after all the planning and preparing, the vacation goes by and you are left feeling so sad that it is over.
