They list the vehicle classes, makes and models.
You will find anything from intermediate to full size and sometimes premiums, converts, suv's and minivans. It is the luck of the draw.

In Orlando, you'll also find economy and compacts there, too. MCO is one of the few EA locations that's set up to handle all car classes for EA reservations. If you book a compact online, your confirmation will say counter but you can just go right out to the EA and pick your own car as you would the bigger cars, then drive to the checkout booth, show your license, EA card, and any coupons you have and off you go.

I don't know what they'll do if you reserve an ecomomy or a comapct and then try to take a full size. Somehow I don't see that scenario working as the bigger cars do.

Golden Oldie, this is the first I've heard that cars below intermediate effectively have EA service.

It sounds like you're describing Emerald Choice, though the web site doesn't list Emerald Choice as an option for compacts. (I have a compact reserved next month.)

I'll take my EC card to the desk and see what they say. With only two of us, we don't need anything bigger than a compact, but it would be nice to find out we have the option!

I didn't know about the option either. I went to the National counter last week since I had reserved a compact. The woman was very nice when I handed her all my paperwork and cards. She pulled up the ressie on the computer and told me I could have skipped the counter and just gone outside to the EA and picked my own car. She said that Orlando was one of the few National rental locations that you can do that at. It was news to me, too. :)

I traveled to Atlanta recently and they had economy size on EA as well.
