I just found out we are expecting #3 today. I'm not more than a few weeks. My DH will be away on business trips on and off over the month of July and Aug. I know he might cancel some if he knew. (pass M/C) I was going to wait and tell him and the kids, when we get to WDW the first week in Sept.

Any thought on how to tell him?

I took my pg test at WDW when there with DSis and DNiece. To surprise DH when I got home, I had a pair of Mickey ears made with the name "Baby Callas"! It went over great!

What if you added the baby to the reservation? Like call the reservation line the day before and ask them to add on 'Baby ____' on the reservation list of who's staying in the room. Then when you check in he'll be shocked!

Well, when you are throwing up from morning sickness, he might get the idea. ;)

Congratulations!

Congratulations! I sprung our pg on DH, but not at Disney. How about just before the dive on Splash Mountain? It's exhilerating but not too much for pg mama?

Or a quite dinner?

Or above poster had the mickey ears......that's a cute - and you can put them on him/her as a first picture!!!

How about telling him during Wishes?

What if you bought a stuffed Kanga with Roo in her pouch and put it on the bed with a note "Sorry I won't be able to go on all the rides with you"? Or a note from your Fairy Godmother that says "granting your wish" or a stuffed Jiminy Cricket that says "when you wish upon a star"?

Congratulations!!!

While I think it would be really cool to tell Dh you are pregnant at WDW, I think that my DH would be really hurt If I knew I was pregant for two months before he knew. Do you not plan to tell anyone? He really should be first to know. I understand waiting to tell others but I'm not sure I would wait with him. I'm pretty sure most husbands would figure it out anyway!! Prayers for a healthy baby and a wonderful trip!!!!!!

Well it would have to be surprise early in the trip because he will think something is up when you don't ride the big rides. :confused3

If you wait I say get to the first one and say No I gotta pass pregnant women not allowed. :teeth:

I wouldn't do it if he is one that will get upset if he knew you knew that long.

I could never wait more than about 1 minute to tell DH, much less 2 months! Good luck! :rotfl:

I was thinking about the not telling and how my Hubby would feel. I have not really decided for sure yet, myself. We have losted many babies and pgs. He took them very hard, almost harder than me if that's possible. I didn't tell him about DD (#2) until after 9 weeks at his request. He wanted to be there for me if we lost one, but didn't want to get attatched. Is he selfish, Maybe! :confused3

He works for the state Sept-May. He can do side jobs during this time, but he can not solilit them. His only time to bid on them is July and Aug. He take June to be with the kids. He will be gone almost the whole time between now and Aug 31, when we leave. The state doesn't pay very well and has bad benifits, so these jobs are very important to us. He will only be home for a couple days inbetween trips. I know each pg is different, but I have never had MS or any real symptoms, until after 1st trimeseter. Plus this PG is a total surprise to both us and I don't think his mind would be going there.

In the past we haven't told anyone until after the first trimester (not even family), so he will still be the first to know. Unless there is someone here who know us and I don;t know there here.

Thanks for the great ideas, if I do decide to wait to tell him.

So glad I found this thread! If all goes well (God willing) I will be testing on our second to last day in WDW. I don't want to get my hopes up but it would be nice to have a plan.

I found out I was expecting before my trip to WDW last June. DH wasn't going, and he already knew I was pg. I told my sister by saying I wouldn't be able to go on any rollercoasters with her. It took her a minute to figure out why, but she eventually got it.

Congratulations!!!! :goodvibes

How about buying a "My first Teddy Bear from Disney." We were there the end of June and I was quite a few toddlers with the teddy bear in their strollers. I didn't get a good look at what the T-shirt said, but I think that was it. You could have it ready at the front desk when you check in and hand it to DH then or have it delivered to the room.

Best of luck with the pregnancy. I've said a prayer for you that all goes well. Have a magical trip! :wizard:

Along the same lines, you could sneak back or have delivered one of the MY FIRST TRIP TO WALT DISNEY WORLD t-shirts! Afterall, it WILL be the baby's first unofficial trip ––*and won't it be nice to not have to worry about tickets or age increases in the restaurants?? :rotfl:

Congrats! I didn't have to tell my DH anything this time around because he told me I was pregnant. LOL!

When I told my DH about my 3rd pregnancy, I sat him down, ran to the good china, pulled out two flutes, poured him a glass of white wine and I poured myself some milk. He looked at me crazy and then he said "OH NOT AGAIN!" and he grabbed me up. That was so awesome. The 4th and 5th he got it on his own. :)
